Have you seen a necklace that you like and passed it up because it wasn’t exactly what you were looking for? Next time BUY the necklace and make it your own. As long as the necklace is held together by little metal circles called jump rings then you can work with it. You can also fix broken necklaces as long as they have a jump ring. You will only need Pliers, preferably needle nose, I found these huge ones in my junk drawer but they still worked. Gently twist the jump ring apart and remove the link(s) you don’t want. Here are some pics of my latest necklace makeover. Might I add, if I can do this, anybody can. I am so not crafty.
I really liked the necklace, but it was a little unbalanced for me and longer than I wanted.
i really love your blog, are so up to date on all of the styles, thank you
Thank you so much:)
I love this!! That’s so awesome because I totally wouldn’t have bought that necklace. This will definitely make me look at jewelry twice!
Yes! always look twice and think what you can do with it, especially if it is inexpensive.
Journey, that is so cool. I’ve never thought of that. I have a bunch of old jewelry at which I am going to take a second look.
Yeah Terry, it’s actually fun too and it’ll feel like you just bought some new jewelry:)
I want these tools.
