Jason Wu for Target was a complete success! My shopping list read Jason Wu & BBQ sauce (really). I was able to find everything and more. I pulled up to the store at 7:45 a.m. and waited in line, the store opened at 8a.m. and the crowd was under control except one dude who elbowed his way through grabbing 3 of everything, ignoring the 2 limit rule. I had the best time in the dressing room, we were all trading tops, dresses, bags etc. It was pretty cool. Can’t wait to see the next Target/Designer collaboration. Gone are the days of designer duds remaining in the store for weeks after the debut. I remember Richard Chai, Zac Posen, Rodarte, Alice Temperley, Erin Fetherston and Rogan pieces STILL being at target a MONTH later, Sometimes in the clearance section! What the heck happened? 😦 Sadly, if you are not at target the day these collections debut, your pretty much out of luck.

Fashion week is here!!!!!
9 FebNew York Fashion week kicks off TODAY!!! The Semi-annual event is held in February and September. It’s one of four major fashion weeks held around the world(along with Paris,London and Milan). Designers will present their Fall/Winter 2012 collections and the who’s who of the fashion world will congregate in Lincoln Center for an amazing week of shows and even better parties. I’m especially looking forward to Narciso Rodriguez, Diane Von Furstenberg, Tory Burch, Richard Chai, Charlotte Ronson, Jason wu, Vivienne Tam, L.A.M.B, Monique Lhuillier and Vera Wang.

Consuelo Castiglioni , the italian label’s founder has designed a spring collection that ‘real people” will be able to get their hands on.(after hours of waiting in line and pushing our way through the store of course) nonetheless, this is happening and it’s right around the corner. Castiglioni will feature her signature polka dots, bold prints, chunky jewelry and colorful aesthetic in the collection. set to hit stores March 8th just in time for spring . aaaaaaaaaaahhhh the anticipation!
