The calendar necklace by dallanonna is one of my favorite necklaces. The cool thing about them is you can choose your own metal, month and the date to be marked with the gemstone of your choice. Great for anniversaries, birth of a baby, birthday, engagements and weddings. Such a neat way to remember that special date, whatever it may be. Prices range from $150 for silver to $700 for rose gold. Available at Dallanonna.com

Wrist Candy
16 FebLet’s talk bracelets! At this moment I am really liking the stacked look. Load your wrist with anything from stone accented bracelets to stacks of matching or mixed media bangles and Bright leather bracelets for a pop of color. Adding an oversized “boyfriend” watch or a double wrap watch( my 2 favorites) only help to achieve this stacked look. The more the merrier. Bronze set($14)

Norma Kamali diffusion line
15 FebNorma Kamali was the first designer I had ever heard of. My mom had a pair of patent black Norma Kamali peeptoe heels that I loved, I knew I wanted to wear heels like those when I grew up. Looking back, That may have been when my passion for fashion started. I learned to appreciate Norma Kamali way back then, which is why I’m jumping for joy over the news of a Kamali diffusion line:)
Diffusion lines are the best thing ever!!! A diffusion line is a secondary line of merchandise created by high end designers that retails at more moderate prices. Let’s be honest here, most of these “moderate” prices are still high priced for real people but they do make these clothes more accessible, even if it does mean having to save up. Most people will never in their life spend $2000 on a dress but $200 is feasible and that is why these diffusion lines are so successful.
Now that we got that out of the way, let’s get back to NORMA!!! Known for her fashion forward, yet understated clothes, Kamali will debut her new line, kamalikulture at prices all under $100. yay! shop at kamalikulture.com but first sign up for an email invitaion to shop these styles before they are available to the public at http://bit.ly/kamalik
Check out my favorite diffusion lines.
- Marc by Marc Jacobs
- McQ by Alexander McQueen
- Red by Valentino
- Rachel by Rachel Roy
Mint Obsession
15 FebI am a fan of all pastels but am loving all things Mint!!!!! Mint is such a pretty pale green that is perfect for Spring’s breezy vibe! It looks great on all skin tones as well. Pair this pretty pastel with whites, neutrals, floral prints and other pastel colors. If your feeling edgy, mint looks really cute with black too.

Happy Birthday Kevyn Aucoin!
14 FebRidiculously talented Makeup magician=Kevyn Aucoin.
Kevyn Aucoin is a legend in the makeup and photography world, he has worked with hundreds of A-list stars and countless models, he authored three of my favorite makeup books and had HUGE makeup company endorsements. Aucoin was the first EVER recipient of the CFDA(Council of Fashion Designers of America) award for makeup artistry. Would you expect anything less from a guy who moved to NY to pursue his dream and less than a year later was booked with Steven Meisel for his first Vogue cover? Soon becoming one of the most sought after makeup artists in the world, Aucoin was at the top of his game when he passed away in 2002, today he would have celebrated his 50th Birthday. Image: Vogue.com
Aucoin was named one of the top 7 makeup artists by ifashion network, a global online fashion portal. I name him the best makeup artist that ever lived.
Check out any you tube video footage that you can find and his best-selling books. *Making Faces * Face forward *The art Of Makeup
