Orange Crush

18 Mar
I am loving orange at the moment. I love orange with navy, nude, black and other bright colors as well. If you like orange but don’t want to wear an entire dress or top you can always accessorize with orange for a pop of color. Below are some cute orange looks.Orange Crush
Here is how I’m wearing my orange accessories. I’m obsessed with this outfit. The black dress($17)and necklace ($12.95)are from H&M,The orange bag is from Forever21 and I recall it was $25? I featured it in a handbag post a while back. I wear it with either of these shoes depending on what kind of mood I’m in. The black ballet flat is the classic Reva by Tory Burch($195) and the sandals are by Matt Bernson($160) he is known for his handmade sandals and they’re really cute. I got these at Saks about 4 years ago but he still has many similar styles. Any sandal or flat will work with this look though:)

My Marni Adventure

8 Mar

The day has  come!  Marni for H&M debuted today at select H&M stores across the country.  The wait for the fancy high-end Italian house’s affordable line is finally over. The collection included traditional Marni  bold printed blouses, flirty polka-dotted frocks, structured jackets as well as accessories — including a mix of chunky bracelets and necklaces. Only 3 stores in the LA area had the collection, so I chose an (indoor) mall location just in case I had to wait in a line long. I arrived at the mall at 9am ran up to H&M to find a wristband person(I read online they’d be giving wristbands out). I got my wristband with my designated “shopping time”10:45-11:00am on it. Every 15  minutes, they would let a group of 30 people in a barricaded area to shop. There was a guy with a megaphone screaming the time remaining. I just watched the frenzy for the next hour and 45 minutes until my group was let in.  I also watched in sadness as my beloved white flower necklace slowly disappeared off the shelves:( Finally they let my group in and I felt like I was on supermarket sweep…..my heart was racing. I Grabbed 7 pieces and ran to the dressing room with about 5 of my 15 minutes left to spare.  I fell in love with 2, a tribal top and a polka dot dress. Got in line bought my items and got the hell outta there, with a slight headache. On my drive home, I looked over at my H&M bag and envisioned myself on vacation in these super cute clothes. Thanks H&M!!!! Until next time………rumor has it a HUGE designer collaboration is up next ….. like Tom Ford huge;)

Here are some pics from my adventure today.

H&M now carrying plus sizes

25 Feb

Select H&M stores are now carrying plus sizes. The line of clothes called H&M+ ranges from size 14-24. H&M is thinking about the fuller fashionistas and I think that’s pretty cool. Take a look at some of the stuff HERE.

Marni for H&M

6 Feb

For those who don’t know,  H&M has a special treat for us yet again. Marni (typically $500-$2000 for a dress)  will follow in Versaces footsteps as the next label to create a collection for H&M. Consuelo Castiglioni , the italian label’s  founder has designed a spring collection that ‘real people” will be able to get their hands on.(after hours of waiting in line and pushing our way through the store of course) nonetheless, this is happening and it’s right around the corner.  Castiglioni will feature her signature polka dots, bold prints, chunky jewelry and colorful aesthetic in  the collection. set to hit stores March 8th  just in time for spring .     aaaaaaaaaaahhhh the anticipation!
