The 69th Venice Film Festival kicked off it’s opening ceremonies yesterday with loads of fashion moments. The festival runs from August 29 until September 8 and the looks are amazing thus far!!!!! Here are some of my favorite on and off of the red carpet.

A closer look at Laeticia Casta in that beautiful white embroidered Valentino dress and white Gianvito Rossi pumps.
Casta also wore a black floral Dolce & Gabanna dress with electric blue Sergio Rossi pumps.
Naomi Watts wore a lovely layered lace design by Marchesa, stunning.
Kasia Smutniak wore a belted Valentino Resort floral printed maxi complete with white collar and cuffs.
Smutniak also wore a gorgeous red floor length Armani Privé gown with a deep V back.
Kate Hudson wore an asymmetrical nude Atelier Versace gown, with Swarovski crystal embelleshment.
Hudson also wore a sleek and simple white Gucci Resort suit.

You can browse or search the A-Z list for your favorite fashion labels and listen to recorded pronunciations of top designers and vital fashion lingo. In addition to the “help”, you can also read up on the history of your favorite fashion houses.
In the world of fashion magazines, the September issue is the most anticipated copy of the year. Crammed with glossy editorials, beautiful images and Fall ad campaigns, these issues are the ‘bible’ of fashion for months to come and are often the biggest issues of the year. U.S. Vogue produced it’s biggest issue ever this year with 916 pages, weighing in at nearly five pounds!!!!! Here is a roundup of this years major covers from around the globe.
On a budget? Your local library carries many fashion magazines that are free to read.

Every once in a handbag comes around that represents timeless luxury, a bag that women drool over. This time it’s the Heroine bag by Alexander McQueen. The feminine, yet sculptured top handled design comes in various leathers and sizes. Think of it as a stylish satchel meets Doctors bag, perfect for many years of wear. If you’d like a Heroine bag of your own, buckle up they do come with a hefty four figure price tag, but what ‘it’ bag doesn’t?

Additional thoughts…….. Does this bag have the ‘it’ factor? Absolutely! My favorite part of this bag is the beautiful shape and the flap in front. My least favorite part of this bag….the flap in front…which makes the contents of the bag impossible to access when it’s on your arm. A bit impractical a la Hermès Birkin, beautiful nonetheless.
Sneak peek at the Maison Martin Margiela collaboration with H&M………..MMM is an influential paris-based avant-garde fashion label of belgian origin that serves major fashion, and this collaboration gives fashionistas around the world a chance to wear these coveted pieces.
The September issue of Elle France includes a closer look at an elegantly draped, asymmetrical red dress from the collection. These are the first pictures of the collection to be revealed since the partnership was announced in June. The rest of the pieces are expected in H&M stores worldwide and online Nov. 15

Over the weekend, the weather cooled off a tad bit and I was able to wear my new favorite tights! I channeled my inner Zooey Deschanel and rocked the super comfy & cute kneepad tights with a fun clutch that matched!!!!! This Holiday season Nars will launch a highly anticipated Andy Warhol collection. The makeup is not only inspired by Warhol but will include his prints and photographs on the packaging as well. The collection will consist of two different stories so to speak, the first named “pop art ” will pay homage to the funky bright pop art that the eccentric artist is known for and the second collection named “the factory” will aim for the more glamorous, sophisticated feel of Warhol’s New York City workspace that was a hot spot for the artsy crowd and famed for its star studded parties. The collection has no shortage of palettes and will include blush, lip gloss, nail color and more. The Sephora exclusive pop art line is set to launch October 1st at U.S. Sephora stores while the factory is set to launch at department and specialty stores worldwide November 1st.
