Happy Met Ball Monday!

Tonight is THE NIGHT!!!!! Celebrities and fashion’s elite will gather at the Metropolitan Museum to celebrate the annual opening of the fashion exhibit at the costume institute.  This years exhibit Punk: Chaos to Couture is already being talked about as one of the best exhibits to date.  The Met Gala is known as fashion’s night of fashion and tonight will be full of memorable fashion “IT” moments!  I can’t wait to see what everyone will be wearing! Super excited!

Kentucky Derby fashion in and around Churchill Downs was fun and funky today as racing fans gathered to watch what is known to be “the most exciting two minutes in sports.”  The usual hats and dresses dominated the festive dress up event.

I just thought I’d let you all know what I’ve been looking at all day long on Pinterest. Big, beautiful Emerald rings!  I get on my kicks…..some days it’s a certain bag or pair of heels that I can’t get out of my head, but today it’s EMERALDS and only Emeralds!!!  Check out these beauties below.

 

Emerald Emerald2 I really appreciate the beauty of a natural Emerald, it’s my birthstone so I’ve had ample opportunity to get a ‘lab created’ emerald and although they provide much more sparkle than a natural Emerald, I’ve always loved the slightly flawed- almost dull look of a natural stone, just so pure and beautiful.emerald3
