Cannes Red Carpet stunners!

13 May

The 68th annual Cannes film festival started with a BANG this evening in Cannes, France.  There were many glamorous looks as expected but two were absolutely show stopping!  I must get right to the pictures….

Lupita Nyong’o is a goddess in green Gucci.

Oh em geeeee the flower detail, the plunge neckline, the pleating, the draping! Absolutely amazing!  Her beautiful oversized ballerina bun and gorgeous winged liner and purple pout made this look all the better. BRAVO Lupita!

Met Gala 2014: Best Dressed!

5 May

The fashion party of the year, also known as the Costume Institute Gala aka The Met Ball for short did not disappoint. The red carpet was full of fabulous fashion moments. I loved so many of the looks and narrowed it down to my favorite 7! So Let’s get to it!

Leighton Meester in Emilio Pucci- I like the drop waist and overall flow of this gown and the detail is amazing.

Leighton Meester

Beyonce Knowles in Givenchy- The caged head-piece did it for me.

Beyonce

Rosie Huntington Whiteley in Balmain- I love anything Balmain, but I also love how Rosie went against the grain with her choice of dress.(and those shoes!!!!!)

Rosie huntington whiteley

Gabrielle Union in Prada- This two piece feathered ensemble is really cool.

Kim Kardashian in Lanvin- I am a sucker for a dress with pockets and loved the color as well. I was drawn to the belt and matching cuffs she originally wore and was surprised she removed them for the red carpet. I like how it brought some edge to the dress.

(with the cuffs and without pictured below) note: she also changed her shoes

Zooey Deschanel’s Dress Line!

27 Jan

Zooey Deschanel’s latest adventure had her designing dresses with Amercan designer Tommy Hilfiger.  The “adorkable” actress is known for her cute retro inspired style and the upcoming Spring line reflects that for sure. The capsule collection features 16 dresses that seem to be a perfect blend of all American mod meets 1960’s London chic. The collection ranges in price from $98-$199 and will be available April 14th at Macy’s stores and Tommy Hilfiger as well.
