London Fashion week is in full swing!!!!!! Fashionistas across the pond are partaking in one of fashion’s biggest weeks as designers showcase their Fall/Winter 2014 collections! Here’s a quick look at some of the looks.

Zooey Deschanel’s latest adventure had her designing dresses with Amercan designer Tommy Hilfiger. The “adorkable” actress is known for her cute retro inspired style and the upcoming Spring line reflects that for sure. The capsule collection features 16 dresses that seem to be a perfect blend of all American mod meets 1960’s London chic. The collection ranges in price from $98-$199 and will be available April 14th at Macy’s stores and Tommy Hilfiger as well.

A while back I did a post on the upcoming Marc Jacobs Beauty collection and the growing anticipation throughout the beauty industry and amongst makeup junkies alike. Well, I’m back with an update of sorts! The time has come people….in three days we can all get our hands on the entire 120 piece makeup collection that Jacobs has created and that will be sold exclusively at Sephora and select Marc Jacobs stores!!!!! Jacobs has left no stone unturned with his debut brand. There will be products for eyes, lips and face including brushes!
Last month, Jacobs gave us a glimpse of what was to come when he released a sneak peek prelaunch of five products in sleek packaging on sephora.com. Most items have since sold out and the reviews are amazing!
One product keeps coming up time and time again! I haven’t stopped hearing great things about his liquid eyeliner calligraphy style “pen” called the Magic Marc’er. Priced at $30 rumor has it, it’s worth every penny and unlike any other eyeliner on the market. The intense blacker than black formula dubbed Blaquer is waterproof, non- fading, non-transfering and provides a precise line everytime! The reviews speak for the product! The collection debuts August 9!!!!!! Who else is excited!????!!!!

Drew Barrymore is the latest celebrity to create her own makeup collection Flower which debuted this month exclusively at Wal- Mart. Her over 180 piece collection includes eye, face, lip and nail products which are available at 1,500+ Wal-Mart locations. What is great about this collection is that it’s cruelty free(not tested on animals) and the price point is beyond amazing- nothing is over $15! It is luxury products at mass market prices. According to the press release the collection is “formulated with the same quality ingredients found in department store luxury brands, but sold for a fraction of the price”.
How did Barrymore produce such high quality products at such fair prices???? Well Barrymore and team chose to skip paid advertising and rely solely on blogs, social media, word of mouth and Barrymore’s popularity to do the “advertising”,which frees up the usual 20-30% that would fund advertising. That money is then able to then go into the formulation of great products. The same formulas that high-end companies all over the world are using. Impressive to say the least! I can’t wait to try it!

Ladies do not- I repeat DO NOT be afraid of white eyeliner, it is your friend indeed! White eyeliner has been a makeup artist trick of the trade for decades and like any other product CAN be overdone and look silly but when applied right, white eyeliner instantly gives you a radiant and wide-eyed look. If you want your eyes to POP, this is for you and is great if you have deep-set or small eyes as well. A very effective way to wear white eyeliner is to apply it to your lower waterline (inner rim of your bottom lid). Think of it as a continuation of the “whites” of your eyes……making them bigger and brighter immediately. You can also use white eyeliner as a highlight to brighten up your inner corner tear duct area.
Fair to medium skin looks best with bright white or pearly hued pencils while tan to dark skin looks best with creamy, off white or beige hued pencils.
Feeling daring? Wing it out…..Upper or lower lash line…it’s up to you!
Skaist Taylor is building a following…….fast! The “California eccentric” collection brought to us by the LA based designers who gave us Juicy Couture in 1996, is making major fashion waves. The team has since sold Juicy Couture to Liz Claiborne Corp. and have dived right into the Skaist Taylor line. Pamela Skaist- Levy and Gela Nash- Taylor launched the boho- chic line during new York Fashion Week this past Spring to rave reviews. Don’t worry there will be no tracksuits this time around! Remember wearing those everywhere?????? I admit I must have a dozen tracksuits lying around and still wear them to lounge in the house, I was a bonified “Juicy” girl…. But there comes a time for every fashion “moment” to move on though and this is that time for Pamela & Gela!
Skaist taylor is available now at Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus and Skaist Taylor.
Nars cosmetics is launching a skin care line that will rival their already amazing makeup line. The line called Narsskin is a 9 product collection that is a major update of the brand’s original skin care products, including anti-aging benefits light reflecting properties and improved formulas overall.

The new line will first be available exclusively at Saks Fifth Avenue on August 9 and will be carried in about 200 department and specialty stores come September.
