Oil Free Moisture!

I don’t know about you, but since this pandemic has begun, I’ve been breaking out more than ever due to wearing a mask. I’ve exclusively used the same Origins cream nightly for years(powerful lifting cream), until recently when I added a new moisturizer (clear improvement)to my regimen. It’s basically an acne treatment & oil-free moisturizer in one- formulated with 1% Salicylic Acid to help clear and help prevent new breakouts. I’ve been using it for 2 weeks now and already see an improvement. I go back and forth between the clear improvement and the powerful lifting cream every other night and it’s been working out perfect for me. If you’re looking to moisturize while preventing breakouts, I highly suggest this product.

Tinted Sunscreen For Sensitive Skin.

For those of you that have been following my blog for a while, you know that I’m an SPF addict! I wear hats and SPF daily to avoid any sun exposure to my face. I am very sensitive when it comes to sunscreens and break out very easily when I try new brands. My friend Jacki talked me into trying Elta MD and I am obsessed!!! First of all, it’s tinted so I love that(they have non tinted as well) and secondly, it’s made for skin types prone to acne, rosacea and hyperpigmentation. I have acne prone skin and hyperpigmentation (dark patches) so I was all for it! Hyperpigmentation can be kept under control when the sun is avoided. This particular sunscreen is made with Zinc oxide which sits on top of the skin, so the sun can’t penetrate at all and since I’ve been using this SPF my dark patches have lightened. With summer approaching I thought I’d share this amazing Sunscreen with you all.  elta

It is more expensive than traditional non zinc sunscreen, but it actually works! I wear it alone and under my makeup. I also prefer a high SPF so I wear 46, but they have lower SPFs as well.

Fall Nail Color Favorites!

I love beautiful rich dark shades for fall and winter and thought I’d share my favorites colors with you.  They are both by Essie, but most polish companies make these shades or similar shades. I do favor Essie when it comes to darker shades because their formulas are super thick and don’t streak.

Sephora To Launch Beauty Box Subscription Service!

Sephora has announced that they will be launching a monthly subscription beauty box that will directly compete with Birch Box.  Birch box came on the beauty scene in 2010 and has been an industry leader since.  Sephora is looking to cash in on the popular monthly subscription box services that are gaining in popularity.  There are boxes for just about everything from your dog (Bark Box)  to your inner Zen (Mindfulness Box). Sephora’s beauty box called “Play” will launch in Boston, Columbus and Cincinatti Ohio in September with more cities to follow in 2016.  The subscription will cost $10 per month and is expected to include 5 deluxe sized samples of beauty products.

Must Have Lipstick Collab!

Giambattista Valli is the latest designer to collaborate with makeup giant MAC. Makeup junkies have been excited about this collaboration for sometime. The highly anticipated 6 piece collection includes 5 matte lipsticks and 1 lip gloss. The potted gloss transforms all the lip colors into high shines hues.

The colors, inspired by flowers from around the world, range from pale pink to dark cherry and the gorgeous packaging matches the lipstick inside. The collection will be available online and in stores July 9.  I NEED the coral shade. What color is your fave?

My Favorite Nail Color Right Now!

I can’t get enough of Bitter Buddhist, a milky greyish green shade from Smith & Cult.  I first spotted this shade on Eva Chen when I saw this picture on her Instagram and I went on a HUNT for it. S& Cult    I received it recently and LOVE IT!!!!!!!!! It is different from any green I’ve seen and is perfect for Spring and Summer. I will be living in this color!!!!! Lipstick Love!

I am all for bold lipsticks and may or may not have more shades of red than I need.  With that being said,  one can imagine how excited I was when Mac first announced their holiday collection with sparkly packaging. Once I tried on their amazing matte red lippie with tiny specs of glitter, I had to have it. Let me just add that the glitter is by no means tacky big ol’ pieces, they’re really tiny pieces of shimmer 🙂 This is absolutely my new favorite red lipstick and it is limited edition so I advise you to get yourself a tube NOW! Once they’re gone they’re gone!

My Go- To Cheapie Beauty Products!

I love  makeup and a great bargain just as much as the next girl.  So it should be no surprise that I’ve been head over heels for NYX for a couple of years now! NYX has great formulas and even better prices. I have many NYX products, but have a trio that I rarely stray away from. Matte bronzer, the curve eyeliner and   butter gloss lip color. These products are all under $15 and are amazing!!!!!!!

 

The Curve Eyeliner: This felt tip liner is so precise and you can choose a thick or thin application depending on how you hold the product- really cool for a shaky handed girl like myself.

Butter Gloss: This formula is amazingly smooth- so similar to the much higher priced NARS lip gloss that I haven’t purchased since discovering  butter gloss.

Matte Bronzer: I am a big fan of highlight and contouring and prefer matte bronzer. This is NOT orangey like many bronzers can be and it goes on perfectly!
