My Go- To Cheapie Beauty Products!

I love  makeup and a great bargain just as much as the next girl.  So it should be no surprise that I’ve been head over heels for NYX for a couple of years now! NYX has great formulas and even better prices. I have many NYX products, but have a trio that I rarely stray away from. Matte bronzer, the curve eyeliner and   butter gloss lip color. These products are all under $15 and are amazing!!!!!!!

 

The Curve Eyeliner: This felt tip liner is so precise and you can choose a thick or thin application depending on how you hold the product- really cool for a shaky handed girl like myself.

Butter Gloss: This formula is amazingly smooth- so similar to the much higher priced NARS lip gloss that I haven’t purchased since discovering  butter gloss.

Matte Bronzer: I am a big fan of highlight and contouring and prefer matte bronzer. This is NOT orangey like many bronzers can be and it goes on perfectly!

Drew Barrymore’s New(affordable) Makeup Line

Drew Barrymore is the latest celebrity to create her own makeup collection Flower which debuted this month exclusively at Wal- Mart.  Her over 180 piece collection includes eye, face, lip and nail products which are available at 1,500+ Wal-Mart locations. What is great about this collection is that it’s cruelty free(not tested on animals) and the price point is beyond amazing- nothing is over $15!  It is luxury products at mass market prices.  According to the press release the collection is “formulated with the same quality ingredients found in department store luxury brands, but sold for a fraction of the price”.

How did Barrymore produce such high quality products at such fair prices????  Well Barrymore and team chose to skip paid advertising and rely solely on blogs, social media, word of mouth and Barrymore’s popularity to do the “advertising”,which  frees up the usual 20-30% that would fund advertising.  That money is then able to then go into the formulation of great products.  The same formulas that high-end companies all over the world are using. Impressive to say the least!  I can’t wait to try it!

Karl Lagerfeld’s Makeup Collab!!!

Karl Lagerfeld has teamed up with Shu Uemura to create a fun collection that includes lipstick, eye shadow, eyeliner, brushes and more.  The super cute packaging features cartoon character ‘Mon Shu Girl’ that Lagerfeld drew himself!  Check it out at Shu Uemura.

Perfectly Posh…..My New Obsession

I have a new product obsession……….. perfectly posh oh my gosh!!!!!!  perfectly posh is a fairly new company that was launched in 2011, they have over 100 personal care & beauty products to pamper yourself with. The products include lotion, body butter, lip balm, soaps, massage oils and more.  Why do I love  Perfectly Posh so much?????  Well, I have ANNOYING sensitive skin and have to be very selective with what I use on it, so I am always interested yet cautious about trying new beauty products out.

The great thing about Perfectly Posh is this amazing list  below (especially if you have sensitive skin)

  • Paraben free and Paraffin free
  • Free of sulfates including SLS
  • No gluten, lanolin or soy ingredients
  • PP Only uses the highest quality essential oils and phthalate free fragrances
  • PP Products are very natural and consequently gentle…PP encourages you to read their labels.
  • PP uses natural enzymes and gently moisturizing vitamin E to preserve the life of their products
  • PP is cruelty free and does not test on animals

A few months back I was sent some of these amazing products to try…..I tried the lip balm right away and loved it, I admit I let the other stuff sit around for a while before I “took a chance” on it.  I tried the “sugar fix” sugar scrub first….WOWZERS it made my skin super soft and moisturized but not greasy or oily at all.  I  love sugar scrubs but they usually leave me pretty greasy so I have previously avoided them altogether until now.  I’ve been using this scrub for over a month now and all is well.  My hands down favorite product is the chunk ‘Gender bender’ soap, yes I actually had to use two hands at first to hold it…..it’s BIG. It is literally a big chunk of black soap made with activated charcoal powder, silt and carbon to draw out dirt and free radicals instantly. It leaves my entire body feeling clean without being dry. It smells great too, a nice neutral scent for both men and woman to use.  It is the best soap I have ever used! ( I now use it on my face as well) There you have it, a run down on my new favorite products.  My personal consultant can help you with any questions and ordering, her name is Julia, she’s pretty great too.

Perfectly posh has officially made its way into my beauty routine right next to Origins & Neutrogena. I have found my perfect trio of products:)
