Diane Von Furstenberg went heavy on her usual fun and exotic prints at today’s show! I really liked the cork prints that she used! Flattering cuts were also prominent which I always appreciate! Great collection! I’m loving all of the separates that I’m seeing at this NYFW, I usually see much more for fall collections but this is refreshing, Spring isn’t only for dresses!

Pastels, brights and black & white were the main palette at the Prabal Gurung show today with an overall modern vibe and a futuristic feel! The lilac lips and cat eye sunglasses also added some flare to the show!
Monique Lhuillier presented her Spring/Summer 2014 collection this evening at New York fashion week and the color palette was SO SPRING- a sea of corals, oranges and pinks came down the runway! So many pretty pieces! I loved all the lace work and embellishments as well!
Rebecca Minkoff made use of many textures, bold patterns and colors in today’s show and the live performance of Janelle Monae was so COOL! The accessories were great as I expected and I loved all the separates as well! Below are some of my favorite looks from the collection!

Hello future brides and wedding gown lovers!!!!! The fashion week of weddings also known as Bridal Week has come to a close today in New York. Designers presented their Spring/Summer 2014 collections for the world to see and they were beautiful! Etherial, romantic, sparkly, pretty, intricate and feminine are just a few words to describe to these dreamy dresses. I have been oooohing and aaaahing all weekend long and am excited to share some of the gorgeous gowns with you. Feast your eyes!!!!

Although the news won’t be officially announced until next week, it has been confirmed that 28-year-old Alexander Wang known for his clean yet edgy aesthetic has landed the job as Balenciaga’s new Creative Director. Rumors have been swirling for some time as Wang was a top candidate for the position. In just five years, Wang’s own label has become very successful and his creations have plenty of commercial appeal. His shoes and handbags are top-sellers as well as his diffusion line T by Alexander Wang. He will have his work cut out for him juggling this new position in addition to his steadily growing label, but I think he’ll do just fine!
This year’s Fall bridal market aka bridal week in New York City, which ran from Oct. 12 to 15 featured collections for Fall 2013. The collections were breathtaking leaving no shortage of bead work, sparkles, tulle, lace, silk organza and DETAIL. Rebecca Minkoff will be opening a freestanding boutique in NYC. Last March the stylish designer opened a 3,000 square foot flagship store in Tokyo, but this will be the brand’s first on American soil. The soho shop will feature her amazing accessories, clothes and more and will take over the space currently occupied by Kirna Zabete as they will be moving to a larger location.
