Let me start by saying that I love all things pink. I love any and every shade of the pretty color but I’m partial to blush. Blush pink is so soft and feminine, looks great on all skin tones, and goes with everything…..which led me to a year-long search for the prettiest sheer pink nail polishes.
I’ve tried so many pinks along the way and have narrowed it down to my 3 favorites that I’m going to share with you today. The colors below are perfect for year round wear, but I especially love wearing them in the Summer.
Starting with the sheerest of them all, Essie Sugar Daddy is like your nails, only better. This color looks like you have really healthy nails- think nude with a hint of pink.
Next up, a slightly pinker -but still not too pink color is Essie Mademoiselle. It is sheer just like Sugar daddy but can build (2-3 coats) to a pretty milky pink.
Lastly, this super shiny pink(slightly more pink than the others) is OPI Passion. This color is similar to the others and can be built up just like mademoiselle can be.
Just in time for Valentine’s Day, I found a heart shaped dutch oven that is a dupe for the very pricey Le Creuset version. Both are gorgeous, but the Le Creuset version will set you back $200. As a southern California native, I’ve always heard about the Carlsbad flower fields. They bloom every Spring and thousands of people visit to experience the magical rows of ranunculus(My favorite flower) as well as other flowers. I finally made my way down to the San Diego area and visited the flower fields and was not disappointed. There were flowers as far as I could see, it was so beautiful. If you get a chance, the flower fields make the perfect Springtime day trip. Let me know in the comments if you’re planning to visit.
*There are plenty of picture opportunities that they provide, so there is no need to ever step/lay on any flowers.
Hiking is one of my favorite activities, I’ve been doing it for years- in sneakers. I had never really given any thought to getting hiking boots. I had nothing against them, but I just always threw on sneakers for workouts including hikes. Once the Covid-19 pandemic started, I started hiking more than ever and doing difficult hikes as well. I thought hiking boots might be a good idea, and began to research. I quickly realized that Columbia hiking boots had some of the best reviews. What struck me as important is the fact that so many reviews mentioned comfort. People went on and on about how comfortable they were. Avid hikers raved about these boots. So I found some with pink laces(of course) and bought them without trying them on. I’m glad I did, they are cute, waterproof, easy to get on and off, and very comfortable- comfortable right out of the box!!! No breaking in needed at all. I have been on 4 hikes with them now and am so impressed. I can’t recommend these boots enough.

Every Spring I get so excited to wear pretty pink lipsticks. I wear pink lip color year round, but during the warmer months I go with lighter, more rose toned pinks. I have 2 new favorites to share with you that I’ve been wearing non stop.
The first color is a light dusty rose powder matte by Maybelline called ‘Nocturnal Rose’. Although it’s matte, it’s not the typical drying formula. This is the color that I’m wearing in my latest Instagram post. $8 Shop HERE.
The second color is medium warm pink by Bobbi Brown called ‘Bitten’. It has the look of lipstick, but the feel of a lip balm. $29 Shop HERE.
I always bring my favorite jewelry pieces with me when I travel and I’ve had the same travel jewelry box forever and it’s worn out. As I was Black Friday shopping in my pajamas, I came across this super cute and affordable jewelry box. It comes in a variety of colors, has plenty of storage while still being small enough to pack or bring in a purse, and it looks very expensive! I ordered the pink of course and can’t wait to take my next trip with this pretty box. This jewelry box doesn’t look like your average travel jewelry box and could easily be used at home as well to keep your jewelry organized.

Last week my friends and I went to the Hello Kitty Grand Cafe in Irvine, California. It was pretty, pink and perfect. It was nostalgic for me because I was obsessed with Hello Kitty as a kid. The cafe is so cute in the front when you enter. It’s super “Insta worthy” and has plenty of places to take pictures. They sell drinks, merchandise and pastries. But if you want to take it to the next level, you can make a reservation for the Bow room, which is a small room through a locked door in the back of the cafe. It is reservation only and is usually booked far in advance. You can take a risk and walk in and hope that someone cancels, the odds are slim so my advice would be to make a reservation online to guarantee a spot. It almost feels like a secret society and once you go in, it’s a magical Hello Kitty pink paradise! The bow room has tea service during the day ($55 per person before tax and tip). Each person is served sweet and savory bites along with a personal teapot filled with the tea of their choice. In the evening the bow room transitions into a speakeasy complete with Hello Kitty cocktails. I still need to go back for the cocktails!
If you love Hello Kitty, you must treat yourself to the Bow room. You won’t regret it. I lost track of how many times my friends and I said “cute”. Every detail was so cute!
