Sheer Perfection!

2 Apr

Let me start by saying that I love all things pink.  I love any and every shade of the pretty color but I’m partial to blush.  Blush pink is so soft and feminine, looks great on all skin tones, and goes with everything…..which led me to a year-long search for the prettiest sheer pink nail polishes.

I’ve tried so many pinks along the way and have narrowed it down to my 3 favorites that I’m going to share with you today.  The colors below are perfect for year round wear, but I especially love wearing them in the Summer.

Starting with the sheerest of them all,  Essie Sugar Daddy is like your nails, only better. This color looks like you have really healthy nails- think nude with a hint of pink.

Next up, a slightly pinker -but still not too pink color is Essie Mademoiselle. It is sheer just like Sugar daddy but can build (2-3 coats) to a pretty milky pink.

Lastly, this super shiny pink(slightly more pink than the others)  is OPI Passion. This color is similar to the others and can be built up just like mademoiselle can be.

Fall Favorite: Deep Red Nails

2 Oct

When I think of Fall beauty favorites, I always think of deep colors and jewel tones.  I love a good rich nail color and there is no better time to rock it than during Fall and Winter. Below I’ve linked my favorite Fall shade of red, called Raven Red. It’s very red while being deep enough that it has burgundy hues to it in certain lighting. Also- it’s under $5!

Instagram Roundup!

23 Jun

Hello hello, I’m here with an another Instagram roundup. I know it’s been a while but I was on vacation which was amazing. Some of these pics were taken in Portland and Seattle, both of which I visited for the first time. We flew into Portland and took a road trip (3 hours) to Seattle during our stay. Oregon and Washington are so beautiful and green-  there were endless trees!  The people were very nice and the food was top-notch as well! I will definitely be going back! Anyhow, check these pics out and follow me on Instagram @yourstylejourney if you want to see more.
