Spring Daytime Function Attire,( perfect the dressy without being overdressed look)

Spring is right around the corner and so are the Birthday BBQs, Baby& Bridal showers,Luncheons,Day dates, etc. Daytime attire can be a bit tricky because you want to look super cute but not over the top or “evening”.  At least with evening events, when all else fails that LBD always works…not so much in the day. Some of my favorite go to  looks for “dressy day” are sleeveless print dresses, button up dresses, skirts with cute blouses, belted dresses and floral anything. Here are a few looks that’ll work for pretty much any daytime affair. LOVE! Wedges, feminine sandals, and strappy heels go great with all these looks. Naomi Campbell to walk exclusively for Roberto Cavalli in Milan!

Yes it’s true, Naomi Campbell will exclusively walk in the Roberto Cavalli FW2012-2013 show in Milan that will take place Monday February 27th 2012!!  The 41 year old model, who stars  in the Cavalli Spring ad campaign has been walking the catwalk for over 26 years. I’m definitely looking forward to this show. The show will be streamed on the Maison Cavalli website http://www.robertocavalli.com/ .

Select H&M stores are now carrying plus sizes. The line of clothes called H&M+ ranges from size 14-24. H&M is thinking about the fuller fashionistas and I think that’s pretty cool. Take a look at some of the stuff HERE.

Flash Sale Sites

Flash sale websites are member only websites that hold timed sales at up to 60% off of designer clothes and accessories etc(private shopping clubs). You must be invited by an existing member or sign up to get on a wait list, which usually aren’t very long.  The benefits are HUGE!  There are sales all the time and these sites keep you in the loop with emails so you know exactly what designer is going on sale and when. These sales only last 24-48 hours, so be sure to check often and early.  Most of these sales start at 11 a.m or noon.

Pretty in Pleats

I know most people think of school girls or Mens dockers pants when they think of pleats.  No more!  Pleats have come a long way.  What I love most about pleats is that they add such a whimsical texture to clothing while still having a tailored feel to it.  There are all kinds of pleats from traditional zigzag  to pintucked(usually narrow) to larger box pleats. Here are some pieces featuring all three of these pleating styles. SO CUTE! Crazy for Clutches (Splurges)

Clutches may be small, but they can make a HUGE impact on your look.  Clutches are my favorite accessory, I’m kinda obsessed actually.  They  transition from day to evening easily and come in a variety of sizes so you don’t have to worry about limited space.  Clutches are a perfect way to experiment with a color or material you would never wear and still feel comfortable.  If you want to try the latest neon trend, start with a clutch.
