Vacation Essentials

I’m just finishing up packing for my vacation tomorrow, I’ll be heading to Kauai, Hawaii. I thought I’d share a few of my island essentials with you guys. When packing for a sunny destination, SPF is crucial- I use SPF 110 on my face and 50 on my body. I love Neutrogena Age shield face because it’s the only sunblock that doesn’t break out my sensitive skin. I also packed my oversized Old Navy floppy hat, white tory Burch flip flops and the cutest tommy Bahama fringe cover up that I found for under $50!!! I’ve been looking forward to this vacation for some time and will be sure to drink a Mai Tai for all of you guys:)

What’s In My Beach Bag!

Summer is here and beach days are inevitable. I pretty much take the same few things to the beach every time I go. They include sunglasses, rubber flip-flops, a hat, a book/magazine, lip balm, SPF and a kick ass bathing suit! While we’re on the subject of kick ass bathing suits, I have recently learned about the cutest bathing suits from an awesome lingerie company by the name of Naja. Besides having super cute styles that are flattering, the bathing suits and bras are made from recycled water bottles!!!!!! The innovative swimwear is also made with water free printing which is pretty neat. No water= no water waste.  Definitely check out their website, views on social impact, and women empowering women. Fabulous Friday Finds!!!! (Denim cutoffs under $20)

Happy Friday fashionistas, I hope you’re having a great week so far! This week’s finds are cutoff shorts, a must have for warm weather! I recently went shopping for denim cutoffs and was so pleased with what I found.  I love denim cutoffs for the Summer and I love them in traditional blue denim as well as coral! They are both so be achy, easy to wear and match most anything! I was lucky enough to find BOTH blue and coral denim cutoffs at Old Navy and they were on sale for $12.50!!!!! I’m not even a “shorts” kind of girl( although I wear short dresses, I rarely wear shorts)  but these were too perfectly priced to pass up!  They even have a slight stretch to them, which I love!  I’m wearing mine right now and they are cute and comfy!  Shop for your own pair below!

I’m Outta Here!

I’m leaving L.A.!!!!! Pump the brakes, I’ll only be gone for a week. Anyone who knows me knows that I LOVE L.A. but it is nice to get away once in a while and I’m doing just that. I’m leaving for Kauai Tomorrow and I am so excited to do a whole bunch of nothin’. I must warn you now that I will only do a few posts for the week as opposed to the 7-10 that I normally do! The YSJ Facebook page should be just as active as normal, updated sales, fun stuff etc. But as far as actual posts on this blog, I will not have the time to do my normal research as I will be sitting on my butt all day at beautiful beaches sippin’ mai tais:) I thank you all for your understanding;) and I’ll be back in full force the week after next!
