Lovely Lavender Bags!

Earlier this year I announced my “colors of the year”- Emerald and Lavender were the frontrunners and I still feel the same way.  I have been pretty obsessed with purple anything lately but am partial to the light & feminine lavender hue in particular…the pretty pastel screams Spring and is so adorable!  There is no better way to incorporate new colors into your wardrobe  than with a gorgeous new bag!   Lavender pairs especially well with camel, navy, white and other pastels and is quite versatile for a candy color. Metallic Pumps On Any Budget! Get Some!

Metallic pumps were everywhere during “fashion month”, mostly the pointed closed toe version which is universally flattering!  I’ve always been a fan of metallic hued heels especially during the Holiday season but now I’m all for spicing up my wardrobe with these glitzy heels year round!  Why not???  They’re great for Spring and totally work with anything, from colors to prints to neutrals. Jenna Lyons Named Woman of The Year by Glamour

It is no surprise that super stylish creative director of J.Crew, Jenna Lyons, was named one of Glamour’s women of the year.  The 44-year-old inspiration started as a fashion assistant at J. Crew in 1990, worked her way up the old fashioned way and was named creative director of the mega-brand in 2007.  Myself and many others know J.Crew would NOT be where they are today without Lyons, it’s just a fact.  Not only is she the brains behind the brand, but also their most recognizable model.  Her style is uniquely casual yet polished, she has mastered the balance of masculine and feminine pieces while mixing textures effortlessly like no other. Thick rimmed glasses, middle parted hair and red lips were also a signature part of her look long before the trendy hipster crowds claimed it.  She is a style icon without a doubt, Glamour is spot on with this one!
