I have been spotting quite a few polka dot patterned pieces while out and about lately and I like it!  Polka dots are so fun and easy to pull off, even if you’re not normally a “print” type.  Polka dots are great to wear throughout summer and well into fall. Shop these spotted selection below.

H&M Going Green Again

For the second year in a row, H&M is debuting a conscious collection with traditional pieces as well as some high-end pieces that they are calling the  Glamour conscious collection that features red carpet looks. These conscious collections have all been made from more sustainable materials like organic cotton, hemp and recycled polyester. H&M aims to reduce its carbon footprint with its ongoing effort to make eco-fashion cool. The eco-friendly clothes range from a 60% recycled polyester blouse priced at $9.99 pictured left
to an elaborate limited edition organza crease plisse’ meringue skirt with organic cotton& silk blend boucle top priced at $299 pictured  right,
only 1000 will be produced. Sizes for the traditional conscious collection will include 4-16 and sizes for the glamour conscious collection will include 4-12. These collections will hit select H&M stores ,100 to be exact ,Tomorrow April 12th. Online shopping is still unavailable in the U.S. until September…..fingers crossed.

The Tribe has Spoken

Tribal prints are making their way off the runway and out of  Dept. store shelves onto the streets. From African to Aztec and South American Ikat prints, the world’s most exotic destinations are just a shopping trip away. Tribal prints add a fun & funky twist to any outfit. They can be worn with solids and neutrals if you want to keep it tame or you can get wild by mixing with other tribal printed pieces and adding colorful jewelry, It’s up you. Designers are all over this fun warm weather trend. High end: Burberry Prorsum has beautiful pieces and is the most influential label for tribal prints.  Low end: Forever21 has tons of tribal pieces that are very affordable.

How to Wear High Low skirts

There’s something alluring about uneven hemlines. I really love this high low hem trend. I did a post on high low skirts a while back, but this time I wanted to focus on ways to wear them. It’s definitely harder to pull off than an uneven hem but doable for sure. I love these skirts worn 2 ways. Either worn with a blouse (tucked in or loose) and booties or worn with a tucked in tank top (with/without belt)and flats or wedges. Both are super cute, or you can try on different shoes until you find what’s best for you. Here are some  examples of my fav looks I mentioned earlier.
