Prabal Gurung For Target!

The rumors have been swirling since  Summer and the rumors are TRUE!  Prabal Gurung and Target have collaborated for a collection due to hit stores February 10th! The collection will stay true to Gurung’s aesthetic of sharp tailoring and feminine silhouettes with much use of prints and graphic detail. The fashion forward masses will be able to get their hands on this over 80 piece collection just in time for the holidays. The highly anticipated collaboration will include ready to wear and accessories including shoes and bags. Prices range from $19.99 for a T-shirt to $199.99 for a leather jacket.

My Favorite Fringe Bag Just Got Better………

Back in April I wrote a post about my new favorite faux leather fringe bag that I scored for $24.99 from Target.  I still wear it and love it, it’s a creamy color that matches everything and I can beat it up without worrying.   The good news is they still have it at target and they have added a new color, beige. In addition to this beige color they have added a new fringe bag in a beautiful blue suede like material for $29.99.  Perfect bag meets a perfect price!!!!!!

The Shops At Target: Round 2

It’s almost that time again……Target is continuing its collaborations with four new collections for Fall.  Target introduced the shops earlier this year to celebrate “local” boutiques from around the country, offering shoppers exclusive collections co-created by participating shop owners.  The Shops at Target offer a unique peek into these otherwise high-end boutiques, and make their products available to the masses at affordable prices.  The four shops featured for Fall will be

New york’s fashionista fantasy land  Kirna Zabete. ($9.99-$199.99)

New york’s style savvy mens store Odin.($14.99-$99.99)

San Fransisco’s quirky store (American road trip-themed) The Curiosity Shoppe ($3-$25)

Boston’s Patch NYC (think vintage inspired anthroplologie type stuff for the house). ($9.99-$119.99)

Target & Neiman Marcus Get creative!

Mark your calendars!!!!  An epic collaboration is coming to Target and Neiman Marcus December 1st!  The two retailers recruited 24 American designers to create limited-edition gift items with prices ranging from $7.99 to $499.99, with most items under $60.  The entire collection(more than 50 pieces) will be available in stores and online at both retailers december 1st. In honor of the partnership, the two companies are jointly making a $1 million donation to the CFDA, affirming their support of American design!  More information to come….check in at Target and Neiman Marcus.

Lip Balm Ball

I Can’t get enough of these Eos lip balm balls! They are really moisturizing, so cute and small enough to fit in the tiniest of bags. They are available in six sweet smelling flavors and  are free of Gluten ,paraben ,Petrolatum and Phthalate. I always get mine at Target but they are available at Ulta beauty as well and most drug stores. They Retail for $3.29.

My new Favorite Bag

I can’t stop wearing this fringe bag! It’s fun, a perfect size to use daily and is such a great color that matches most anything. I own two other white bags, a Versace hobo and a Bottega Veneta clutch but when I wear those I gotta be honest, I worry  that they’ll get dirty and with a bag this affordable there are NO worries at all! I included this bag in a fringe post that I did a while back but after much use…..I’ve decided it’s my favorite bag…..until the next one comes along;)  So far I’ve worn it with  a t-shirt and jeans and some Spring dresses . I usually wear it with the shoulder strap, but I have recently tucked the strap in the bag and have worn it as an oversized day clutch, SO CUTE! I also realized when I wear it as a clutch, it looks quite similar to the Linea Pelle bag pictured right which retails for about $330. This bag is $24.99!!!!!!!! and available at Target. Jason Wu & BBQ

Jason Wu for Target was a complete success!   My shopping  list read Jason Wu & BBQ sauce (really). I was able to find everything and more.  I pulled up to the store at 7:45 a.m. and waited in  line, the store opened at 8a.m. and  the crowd was under control except one dude who elbowed his way through grabbing 3 of everything, ignoring the 2 limit rule. I had the best time in the dressing room, we were all  trading tops, dresses, bags etc.  It was pretty cool. Can’t wait to see the next Target/Designer collaboration. Gone are the days of designer duds remaining in the store for weeks after the debut. I remember Richard Chai, Zac Posen, Rodarte, Alice Temperley, Erin Fetherston and Rogan pieces STILL being at target a MONTH later, Sometimes in the clearance section!  What the heck happened? 😦 Sadly, if you are not at target the day these collections debut, your pretty much out of luck.
