Wedding Heels (Under $100)

7 May

CALLING ALL BRIDES TO BE>>>> Wedding season is right around the corner and if you’re a bride to be, you may already know that searching for the right wedding heel can be a daunting task.  I have been asked numerous times about my wedding heels so I thought I’d share them with you and a few more styles that I love- all under $100.  My 4th wedding anniversary is fast approaching and I still remember the last-minute STRESS of finding the right heel. That all ended when I stumbled upon this picture on Pinterest! nina  I had to have these heels!  After searching I found out they were by Nina shoes. It was a breath of fresh air finding a brand that had so many wedding heels at decent prices. Your wedding heels should accent your dress without stealing the show and the price shouldn’t break the bank! Nina shoes also come in a variety of colors so they’re perfect for bridesmaids or for the bride looking to wear a pop of color on her special day. Hopefully this post will help you find your perfect heel. Cheers! And congrats on your upcoming nuptials! Below are some of my favorite wedding heels starting from lowest heel height to highest.  Nina Culver Heel Height 2.5″ nina culver Nina Forbes Heel Height 3″ Nina forbes Nina Vinnie Heel Height 3.5″ Nina Vinnie nina vinnie back Nina Vianna Heel Height 3.5″ Nina vianna Nina Electra (my wedding heels) Heel Height 4″ Nina Electra Nina Cabaret Heel Height 4″ nina cabaret Nina Cosmos Heel Height 4″ Nina cosmos

All Things Wedding! (Part 2)

2 Aug

Here it is, part 2 of my all things wedding picture extravaganza!!!!!  Enjoy!

All Things Wedding! (Part 1)

2 Aug

Brides to be and fairytale fans alike, this two part post is for you.  Last year as I planned my Summer wedding I quickly noticed I kept returning to images…… images of anything to do with weddings. People would suggest articles and advice columns to help but I already knew what I wanted, I just needed more ideas.  These ideas for me were in the form of pictures, I would surf the web day and night looking at wedding stuff and eventually it helped me when I decided on a dress,  cake, bouquets , hairstyle and shoes.  If you read my ‘with this bling’ post,  you know that even my wedding ring was inspired from a picture of a Neil Lane stunner that I came across while online. Hopefully this post of only pictures will give you ideas for your wedding or at least get you in the wedding mood!  Cheers.

Vera Wang’s Grand Collection

15 Apr

Today is the day!!! The unveil of Vera Wang’s Spring 2013 Bridal Collection. Aahh the suspense……Are you on the edge of your seat?

Vera did not show one white dress today. Last season nudes and blacks dominated her show ,but today Vera went BOLD really bold and went straight for our hearts with RED , all shades of the beautiful color . Times are  changing, brides wear color  and Vera is ready to provide it. As much as she sticks to traditional aesthetics of bridal gowns, I admire her willingness to try anything. She definitely brings the WOW factor and is always ahead of the curve. I LOVE IT!

“The symbolism of red. Boldly romantic, charming, protective, grand, seductive, sexy. from dahlia to scarlet, crimson and vermillion. A celebration of love”  Vera Wang

Brides to be can preview Vera’s Spring 2013 Bridal Collection at the VW Bridal house in NYC 4/19 through 4/22.

Vera Wang 1st ever Cosmetics Collection to Debut

24 Mar

Just in case you’ve been living under a rock for the past 20 years, Vera Wang is all things Bride. She branched off into ready to wear, stationary, home decor, sunglasses and now Makeup:) She masters anything she does so I am looking forward to this line. I must admit I have only been to kohl’s once and it wasn’t for clothes(I found some great picture frames) but I will definitely go back now. This is the 62 year olds first ever makeup line. The 16 piece collection will debut in April and ranges in price from $16.50 to $39.50 and will be sold exclusively at Kohl’s. “Like fashion, makeup is transformational” Wang recently said and I couldn’t agree more.

Random Vera Wang Facts: Vera was a senior fashion editor at Vogue for 17 years. In 1987 Vera left Vogue after being turned down for the editor in chief position currently filled by the infamous Anna Wintour.  She worked as design director for Ralph Lauren while hatching a plan to open her own design salon. In 1990 she did just that, opening her first store at the Carlyle Hotel in New York featuring her wedding gowns. They always say when one door closes another one opens….in her case another door FLEW OFF THE HINGES!  Hooray for Vera getting turned down and having it lead to what she was really destined to do. So many brides are thankful for that, I was lucky enough to wear 2 magical Vera Wang dresses(I wore a bridesmaid dress for the reception) on my big day and I’ll never forget it. Now we can all wear her everyday with this makeup line!
