The Must Have Convertible Bag!

Rebecca Minkoff has long had an amazing accessories collection!  Her Original MAC (morning after clutch) has been a HIT among fashionistas worldwide. The great thing about the bag is that it can be worn three ways…with a single long strap for cross body wear, with the strap doubled for shoulder wear or with the strap removed completely for wear as a clutch.  Soon after the original bag was flying off shelves the designer added a mini size to the collection and New this Fall, Minkoff added her latest installment of the collection, The MAC daddy bag, which is the biggest of all three bags and comes complete with a padded inner pocket to hold an iPad or tablet!  They come in practically every color of the rainbow and the hardware ranges from silver to rose gold to gun-metal and more. The New ‘It’ Bag?

Every once in a handbag comes around that represents timeless luxury, a bag that women drool over. This time it’s the Heroine bag by Alexander McQueen.   The feminine, yet sculptured top handled design comes in various leathers and sizes.  Think of it as a stylish satchel meets Doctors bag, perfect for many years of wear.  If you’d like a Heroine bag of your own, buckle up they do come with a hefty four figure price tag, but what ‘it’ bag doesn’t?

Additional thoughts…….. Does this bag have the ‘it’ factor? Absolutely! My favorite part of this bag is the beautiful shape and the flap in front. My least favorite part of this bag….the flap in front…which makes the contents of the bag impossible to access when it’s on your arm.  A bit impractical a la Hermès Birkin, beautiful nonetheless.

Coach Goes Back To Basics

Coach has returned to its roots with their highly anticipated fall 2012 Legacy Collection .   Complete with tassels and turn locks the timeless collection is retro inspired from the coach archives, revamped with modern touches.  The (Nearly logo free) collection includes everything from shoes to trenches to wallets and handbags.  The handbags vary from slouchy to structured and come in every color  and silhouette imaginable.   Last year Coach reissued some classic bags and they were a huge success!  If that’s any hint, this collection should be flying off the shelves in no time!  I think going back to the type of bags that originally landed them with a huge fan base is the best thing Coach could have ever done, they really went a little “C” crazy for a while there didn’t they?  The collection is currently available online and has begun trickling into stores. The complete collection will be available in stores August 1st. Prices range from $50-$1,000 with handbags starting at $178. Shop online now at Coach.
