Proenza Schouler’s New Lust Worthy Bag
8 Nov‘Bag ladies’ all know and love the PS1 bag by Proenza Schouler, well now it’s time for you to meet the PS1’s big sister…..the PS13 from their resort’13 collection! Although the bags are totally different in design, they accomplish the same goal- a casually chic feel of understated elegance. A bag like this only comes around once in a while. Think about it, most designer bags appear to be designer bags while Proenza Schouler has mastered the “normal” extraordinary everyday bag that you can get away with wearing to the grocery store without looking silly. I love how the top handles are sturdy and you have the option to wear as a shoulder bag also. The front flap pocket and backside zip pockets are great as well….. accessing keys, gum or a cell phone without going into the main bag is always a plus. I must admit I will always be loyal to the PS1, but this new bag is pretty amazing as well.

3 NovBalmain is known for their endless embellishments and overall rock ‘n’ roll vibe, but when Balmain creative director Olivier Rousteing teamed up with jeweler Aurélie Bidermann, the pair created a calm classy carryall…… Introducing Pierre, Balmain’s debut handbag named after the famed founder of the french fashion house. Made of suede and available in either grey, cherry, or natural, Pierre comes complete with an ivory leather interior and is adorned with a faux ivory tooth for a bit of edge. Just like Balmain clothing, Pierre won’t be easy to acquire. The bag comes with a hefty $4,350 price tag and will be exclusively available at Barneys New York, Harrods and the Balmain Paris store.

The Original Stylish Crossbody Bag

Since the original Cambridge Satchel was introduced in 2008 it’s been a cult favorite among the fashion crowd, bloggers went absolutely crazy for it. The academic silhouette a la book bag style can be dressed up or dressed down and the cross body style is perfect if you need your hands free to shop etc. It’s a perfectly stylish mom bag for that reason. Made in the UK, these bags come in a variety of sizes and colors including metallic, neon and pastels. I consider this bag a MUST HAVE in your collection. The Cambridge Satchel Co. has a variety of bags available and they also have a great clearance section that includes bags with slight flaws that are noted.
Cambridge bags are very reasonably priced and very well made bag (usually $120-$220) If you don’t already own one of these timeless bags, I suggest you make it happen. You will be glad you did!
…but don’t you fret if that’s out of your budget……Steve Madden makes a very similar buckled bag for about half the price and it’s on sale at Nordstrom!!!!! YAY!

Bag Crush!
3 OctI’ve always liked the Alexander Wang Rocco bag, a buttery soft bag with studs on the bottom for a little bit of edge. I first spotted the bag on Kristin Cavallari a few years back and have since seen them everywhere. I really liked how there were different color options for the studs like gold, black nickel, silver etc. I just didn’t find that it “spoke” to my heart which is a must when you’re spending a pretty penny……UNTIL NOW……I just about DIED recently when I saw this bag in person with rose gold hardware! It was speaking to me then!!!!!!!! It is a beauty for sure with just enough super shiny rose studs gold against the soft black pebbled leather and two rolled top handles and a shoulder strap make the bag versatile and easy to wear.
