Milan Fashion Week Gucci S/S 2013
20 SepMilan fashion week Gucci Spring/Summer 2013.
I LOVED all the beautiful brights colors in this collection as well as the flouncy sleeves and ruffles. The palette included fuchsia, yellow, cobalt blue and teal among others. The accessories were pretty great too, I would wear every strappy heel that strutted down that runway and I really liked the heavily jeweled necklines and collars. This collection was definitely bright and beautiful.

Baroque Trend! Do You Dare?
11 SepOk ok I’m breaking from my Spring/Summer 2013 NYFW coverage to talk about this trend that is HOT right now for Fall! The question is…..will you wear it? I may try it but I’m a bit scared. The baroque style brings so many things to mind……17th century, opulence, luxury, royalty, gold, DRAMA! With plenty of elaborate details and wild ornamentation this trend can seem difficult to pull off, I think the right person CAN though. Like any fashion lover I would DIE for a Balmain jacket, but that may be the only baroque piece I would wear or is it????? Hmmmmmm, While I’m not completely closed off to the notion, I’d just have to find the right piece, something that speaks to my heart. A jacket or a clutch???? Maybe a T? or Jeans?

NYFW Monique Lhuillier S/S 2013
9 SepMonique Lhuillier’s Spring/Summer 2013 collection.
Known for her usual white and ivory wedding gowns, Lhuillier made great use of teals, blues and fuchsias, in what seemed to be an ocean inspired collection. With only a few separates,her main focus was dresses, very beautiful dresses!

NYFW Christian Siriano S/S 2013
9 SepWOW!!!!!!! Christian Siriano presented his Spring Summer 2013 collection and it was PRETTY! I loved how feminine the pieces were and the use of pastels was perfect. I am also a huge fan of the loose ballerina buns that the models wore, that is my go to hairstyle for Spring and Summer. The use of feminine oxfords in addition to heels was a nice change of scenery during NYFW as well. Just when I though the collection couldn’t get any prettier, out came some of the most beautiful dresses and gowns I have ever seen -many of which had incredibly intricate pearl embellishments and details one could only dream of! I envisioned my wedding day all over again, stunning! I absolutely loved this collection! Still catching my breath!

NYFW Hervé Léger S/S 2013 Collection
9 SepThe Spring Summer 2013 Hervé Léger by Max Azria collection.
There was the usual crepe and body-con band dresses that we have come to expect BUT most of them were shown with high contrast leather harnesses for a twist, carrying the hard and soft theme throughout the show, which I thought was pretty cool. This collection was inspired by Helmut Newton’s photography as was Jason Wu’s. View the entire collection here.
NYFW Charlotte Ronson S/S 2013 Collection
8 SepNew York Fashion Week continues…….
Here are some looks from the Charlotte Ronson Spring/Summer 2013 collection. She used prints and leather beautifully while leaving no shortage of color pale yellows, blues and pinks. I loved all of the wedges and the use of oversized handbags was a fun, yet funky addition as well.
Let’s start with my FAVORITES… I couldn’t choose one. I have 3!
I loved this peplum lace dress with black stripe detail.
This cutout color block dress had amazing movement on the runway.
This sky and water print peplum is to die for, so pretty.
