The Perfect Summer Scent!

I only wear a handful of perfumes and I love them all so much that I rarely add any additions to my collection. But 3 years ago I discovered Pirette at my local surf shop. The sales girl suggested that I try it and I said yes just to be nice- I expected that it would smell decent but not AMAZING! How could this random fragrance oil from a surf shop smell so good?!! I don’t know what’s in this tiny bottle but WOW, it’s one of the most beautiful scents that I’ve smelled. I get so many compliments on the fresh, beachy, coconut perfume that I had to share it here on the blog. I’ve been wearing it more since Spring has sprung and will continue to wear it through Summer. I cannot get enough of it.  pirette

*Be warned…. the bottle is tiny, but I’m on my second bottle now and the first one lasted almost 2 years. A little bit goes a long way.

Heaven In a Bottle! I Am Obsessed!

Let me start by saying that I am not one to buy a lot of different perfumes. I own about 6 total but have steadily used Versace Red Jeans and Vera Wang Princess for the last 8 years. I never thought I would add a third fragrance to my main lineup until I smelled Yves Saint Laurent Black Opium! WOW!!!! It is as intoxicating as a perfume can get. The scent is unique and bold, yet warm and sweet. It has vanilla, floral and coffee notes with some musky undertones. (not overpowering musk though) I think of it as the perfect blend of spicy and sweet and will be wearing it throughout Fall & Winter.

Side note: Black opium is an Eau de parfum so a little goes a long way.

Georgia May Jagger Is the New Face Of Just Cavalli

British model Georgia May Jagger has inked a deal to become the face of Just Cavalli’s newest fragrance which will debut in February 2013.  The 20-year-old daughter of Rolling Stones rocker Mick Jagger and model Jerry Hall is known for her gapped tooth smile, full lips and gorgeous mane.  Jagger isn’t new to modeling, she has starred in campaigns for Hudson, Madonna’s Material girl line, H&M and is a Rimmel London girl alongside Kate Moss but this Just Cavalli campaign will be her first ever fragrance ad.

Blake Lively Named Gucci’s New Face

Blake lively has been named the face of Gucci’s new fragrance, Première, which debuts next month. According to the press release, she’ll appear in print ads shot by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, as well as a commercial by Nicolas Winding Refn, who directed the movie Drive. 

 

 

This is nothing new for Lively, she was also the face of Chanel’s Mademoiselle ad campaign.

Marc Jacobs + Sephora = upcoming makeup Line = :)

Following in the footsteps of Mr. Tom Ford, fashion designer extraordinaire  and Louis Vuitton creative Director Marc Jacobs has his eyes set on something new, a color cosmetics line aka MAKEUP! OMG is it true? Yes it’s true ! Jacobs and cosmetic giant Sephora had a meeting last week to discuss the collection. A launch date hasn’t been decided and there are few details as of yet but I will let you know as soon as my “little birdie” gets back to me;)  This is very exciting news for the beauty world!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

In other Marc Jacobs news: Jacobs is set to launch a new scent, Dot complete with lady bug bottle. Available this August.  This new scent has a vanilla and creamy musk base, with notes of red berries, honeysuckle, jasmine ,orange blossom and coconut water. mmmmmmm smells like vacation to me!
