All Things Wedding! (Part 1)

Brides to be and fairytale fans alike, this two part post is for you.  Last year as I planned my Summer wedding I quickly noticed I kept returning to images…… images of anything to do with weddings. People would suggest articles and advice columns to help but I already knew what I wanted, I just needed more ideas.  These ideas for me were in the form of pictures, I would surf the web day and night looking at wedding stuff and eventually it helped me when I decided on a dress,  cake, bouquets , hairstyle and shoes.  If you read my ‘with this bling’ post,  you know that even my wedding ring was inspired from a picture of a Neil Lane stunner that I came across while online. Hopefully this post of only pictures will give you ideas for your wedding or at least get you in the wedding mood!  Cheers.

Summer Style Spotting!

Dare:  I dare you to wear a color you’ve never worn before ….Pink, purple, red, neon, orange, green etc!  Scared of color or on a budget?  Nail polish totally counts!

Jimmy Choo snakeskin and patent heel $895. Mui Mui strappy coral heel $795. Stell McCartney snakeskin sandals $615. Valentino spiked heel $945.

What fancy footwear post would be complete without Chrisian Louboutin? I have include my all time favorite peep toe pump, The ‘Very prive’. This heel can be anything from sexy to sophisticated! If you only own 1 Louboutin in your life, it should be this shoe! Comes in many colors and leather as well. ($845)

I’m Outta Here!

I’m leaving L.A.!!!!! Pump the brakes, I’ll only be gone for a week. Anyone who knows me knows that I LOVE L.A. but it is nice to get away once in a while and I’m doing just that. I’m leaving for Kauai Tomorrow and I am so excited to do a whole bunch of nothin’. I must warn you now that I will only do a few posts for the week as opposed to the 7-10 that I normally do! The YSJ Facebook page should be just as active as normal, updated sales, fun stuff etc. But as far as actual posts on this blog, I will not have the time to do my normal research as I will be sitting on my butt all day at beautiful beaches sippin’ mai tais:) I thank you all for your understanding;) and I’ll be back in full force the week after next!

L.K. Bennett expanding in U.S.

L.K. Bennett opened a store in NYC  this week. It’s kind of a big deal.  The first ever U.S. store opened on Chicago’s Madison Avenue last Spring and they’ve been popping up ever since, so far  there are  five other shops around the country but this NYC debut is really going to turn the fashion house into a household name. Until last year many Americans never even heard of L.K. Bennett , but that’s changing fast!  Founded in London in 1990, L.K. Bennett is a luxury women’s fashion brand offering ready to wear, handbags, and accessories but is renowned for its signature sexy yet sophisticated shoe collections and has been an insider  favorite of the British Royals for years. Kate Middleton shot the brand to stardom when she wore their wedges the day after her wedding and has been photographed hundreds of times in the nude “sledge”pump she made famous.  The S/S 2012 collection is my favorite so far, Below are some images of my favorite styles. Prices range from $150-$600 available at select Bloomingdale’s, Nordstrom and L.K. Bennett stores.

10 shoes EVERY woman should own.

I thought this list would be easy to compile, but it took some thinking, thinking about rainy days, work, sunshine, date night, baby showers, drinks with the girls,running errands and daily life as a whole. If I had to throw away ALL but 10 shoes (tearing up just thinking about it) these would be the 10 I would have to KEEP! Here we go….
