“Tuscany” in California.

4 Mar

Last weekend I drove up the coast to Paso Robles- a cute town known for its wineries located on the central coast of California. Unlike Napa Valley in Northern California, Paso Robles resembles the wine country of Italy with its rolling hills. There are 250 wineries in Paso Robles and we visited two for wine tastings and stayed at another. When I say our resort felt like we were in Tuscany, I’m not kidding. pr11

I’ll let the pictures speak for themselves. Our entire stay was amazing and the surroundings were breathtaking.

Affordable Luxury. Fine jewelry that you can afford!

23 Jul

When shopping for jewelry, two things catch my eye before anything else. Quality and price. Some quality pieces are unattainable, while some affordable pieces are lacking in quality. I’m so excited to share a jewelry company that offers affordable luxury. YES, you read that right. Ethically sourced gold, diamond and pearl jewelry that is fairly priced. Let me introduce you to AUrate .AUrate necklace

I have yet to see a company this transparent when it comes to pricing and the designs are so beautiful, you’re going to want everything.  If you’ve been following my blog for a while, you know dainty jewelry is my thing.  The AUrate website is dainty jewelry heaven.  As if that wasn’t enough, with every purchase, AUrate donates a book to a child in need.

The pieces I’ve been obsessed with since they’ve arrived on my doorstep are the Stackable ring ($50) and the Diamond bezel ring. ($150) (pictured below)I’ve been wearing them together and can’t get enough! I’ve received so many compliments on them and I’ve only had them for a few days now.

Former Coach creative director Reed Krakoff has designed a collection for Kohl’s that will be completely accessable to the masses. The designer, whose signature collection included handbags priced in the $1,000 to $3,000 range, has created the limited-edition Reed for Kohl’s collection, priced between $15 to $129. Krakoff calls the line “the new accessible luxury” and the designer will feature his signature handbag shapes and prints in the affordable new collection. The collection includes keychains, pouches, handbags and Apparel. Below are some of my favorites! Shop Reed for kohl’s online NOW or in stores starting April 21.

Another Target Collaboration Announced!

9 May

Target is at it again, today they announced their upcoming high fashion collaboration with New York City designer Phillip Lim. Unfortunately we won’t be able to shop this collection until September, but I do think it’s worth the wait. This collaboration strikes me as a little different from its predecessors in the way that the design aesthetic is almost identical to Lim’s full priced designs, really giving the frugal fashionista the chance to get a true taste of the Lim’s designs. The collections, one for men and one for women, will be priced at $19.99-$299.99(for a leather jacket) although most items will be in the $19.99-$75 range. The most exciting part is that all the Bags are  priced at $60 or less!  The 100+ piece collection, 3.1 Phillip Lim for Target launches online and in target stores September 15.

Check out the $35 yellow tote offered in the target collection pictured below that is so similar to the ‘Pashli’ satchels that retail for $650-$825!!!  This, my friends is a collaboration worth getting excited over!

IIIBeca by Joy Gryson Handbag Collection!

5 Mar

As you all know, I love a great handbag! Handbags complete your look and carry your “life” around for you!  What more can a woman want?  Once in a while a handbag comes around that has quality construction and is accessible to most budgets! Handbag designer Joy Gryson’s line IIIBeca is exactly that!  Not a single bag in the collection is over $200- talk about accessible!  I might be going out on a limb here when I say this, but these bags can hang with Hermès and Valextra creations in my opinion! ( Go ahead….google Valextra bags right now) The craftsmanship is impeccable and the clean, classic silhouettes are timeless!  You will own these bags for a loooooong time!  Ok~ now onto my other delightful piece of information about this collection…….. 3% of the proceeds go to three different NYC charities chosen by Gryson herself for a total of 9% being donated from the sale of each bag!  How cool is that?

Below are my favorite styles in the collection.
