I’ve been a busy bee for the last 8 months watching my vision come to fruition and starting a jewelry business from the ground up! My website Love and gold Jewelry launched August 1st and I’m beyond grateful for the warm welcome as I step into the world of Demi- Fine jewelry. If you’ve been following my blog, then you already know I’m an avid jewelry collector. I have solid gold to costume jewelry and everything in between, so when brainstorming my brand I knew I wanted to provide quality jewelry AND fair prices, which is why I chose to only use gold filled and sterling silver. Demi-Fine jewelry is the sweet spot where quality and affordability marry.
What is gold filled jewelry? Gold filled consists of a thick layer of gold (we use 14k and 18k gold )that has been bonded through heat to a core metal (we use jewelers brass). Think of it like an ice cream sandwich- with ice cream in the middle being the brass and the cookie on both sides being the gold. Gold filled jewelry is great for sensitive skin. With its thick, resilient outer layer of gold, it ensures that your skin is only exposed to actual gold. With a little care, gold filled jewelry can last many years. It’s an amazing alternative to solid gold. It looks like gold, wears like gold, is hypoallergenic like gold, without the price tag of gold
From the designs, to the packaging, to partnering with skilled artisans and manufacturers to creating a website ( which was really HARD) I’ve poured my heart along with some sweat and tears into this brand and am thrilled with the outcome and how it’s been received as well.
