When I daydream…… If it’s not about furry friends, it’s usually about amazing things like this…………………
Homecoming for Versace
1 JulAn emotional Donatella Versace took Atelier Versace couture back to the Ritz hotel in Paris today. This was the last place she saw her late brother Gianni. In 1997 Gianni staged his last show at the Ritz just two days before he was murdered on the steps outside of his Miami home. The highly anticipated F/W 2012-2013 collection remained true to the typical Versace aesthetic, silhouettes that celebrate the female form. Billowing chiffon, corseted bodices and metallics were bold, bright & beautiful.
Celebrities filled the audience.

Blake Lively’s Sartorial Splendor
30 JunBlake Lively is never short on style, she is hands down one my top 5 style crushes of all time! Her sense of style is amazing and all her own no stylist on her payroll. Lively’s stunning style has been front and center during the premiere/promotional tour for her upcoming film Savages. Here are my favorite looks so far and I look forward to what she will wear next. I can’t get enough!!!!!!
Ivory Jenny Packham dress with jeweled neckline, oversized Lorraine Schwartz ring, Christian Louboutin sparkly pumps.
Yellow Gucci halter maxi dress with bold turquoise jewelry.
Channeling old hollywood in a nude silk and tulle gown with intricate black beading by Zuhair Murad. I love how she let the dress do all the talking with minimal jewelry and no handbag. Crimson on the lip and nails looks perfect.
Red Michael Kors pant suit paired with a sleek black tank and Christian Louboutin caged heels. Sleeves cuffed messy….love it!
Custom Lanvin dress with nude Christian Louboutin spiked heels.
Emerald and black Marios Schwab dress with Giuseppe Zanotti bow embellished heels.
Silk floral panelled fit & flare dress by Monique Lhuillier and Christian Louboutin heels worn with a pretty purple and pink stack of bracelets.

Lady Gaga Breaks New Record
28 JunClothing collector and heir to the beer company Daphne Guinness put 102 pieces from her wardrobe on the auction block to benefit the Isabella Blow Foundation in memory of her late fashion editor friend. The clothing auction at Christie’s London raised over $740,000 for the Foundation, a large portion of which came from Lady Gaga. The singer spent an estimated $132,000 on an Alexander McQueen dress from Guinness’s collection. Rumor has it that Gaga wasn’t even present at the event , the singer bid by phone from the U.S. and thanks to her generosity, the dress broke records to become the highest price paid for a McQueen dress at auction EVER. WOW!
The $132,000 ivory silk tulle empire line gown comes from McQueen’s Autumn Winter 2008 collection.
Emma Watson wore the gown in September 2008.
The eccentric entertainer has always fancied McQueen’s designs, below the singer wore a white McQueen avant-garde wedding gown in her bad romance video.
Kate Upton Channels Her Inner Supermodel.
28 JunWe have all been seeing quite a bit of Kate Upton lately. If you don’t know who she is, ask any male that you know. As much as we can appreciate her figure, it was certainly a pleasant surprise to see her in this month’s Vogue looking more like a high fashion model and less like a bikini clad sexpot! The editorial shows a different side of the beauty. Upton looks perfectly polished in head to toe designer duds from such labels as Proenza Schouler, Michael Kors and Altuzarra. Do we have a future supermodel on our hands? Hmmmm?
