Happy Fall Ya’ll! Today I’m taking FULL advantage of the temp dropping below 70!!!!! I live in sunny southern California so it’s pretty much still Summer here!  Today though, it’s a bit grey out and I’m rocking one of my favorite flat boots- the ‘Campus’ boot in banana by Frye!  These boots come with or without stitching, I chose stitching because it’s fun!  These boots go with everything and have looked brand new since the day I bought them which was years ago! My Top 10 Fall Nail colors!!!!!

One of the biggest statement making accessories in your wardrobe is your NAILS!!!!!  Nail color can change the entire vibe of an outfit and make you feel polished(no pun intended) and pretty!!!!! The greatest thing about this fabulous “accessory” is that everyone can afford a bottle of nail polish! I wear drug store brands as well as designer and everything in between.  The polishes I will be featuring in this post are all by Essie are around $8  which I think is mid ranged, HOWEVER there are many more affordable options like wet’ n wild and small sample polishes at your local beauty shops.  If you’re on a budget, you can still have fabulous nails!  Anyways, let’s get right to it……here are my top 10 Fall nail polishes that I will be rocking throughout the Fall and well into Winter. Fall Trends Part 1! Pop Of Print!

Happy 1st of September everybody!!!!!! September, for most fashionistas is synonymous with Fall fashion!!!!!!!  I get so excited when September rolls around every year (although I live in Sunny southern California and it’s usually STILL Summer weather around this time) There are SO many fabulous Fall trends that I can’t wait to rock!! I will be sharing them all with you in my Fall trends series starting today with POP- pop of print!  You all have heard me talk about how much I love a POC- pop of color in an outfit, well I also love a pop of print!!!!! In the fall, I especially love a pop of animal print rrrrrrrrrrrrrr!    I am an animal print lover but I never over do it, there  is a thin line between chic and TACKY, so don’t go too crazy with it.

*If you prefer more animal print, like a dress or a jacket, try to go solid on everything else to keep the balance in your look!

Kate Moss Stars In Fall ’13 Versace Ad Campaign!

Kate Moss bares all and goes brunette in the upcoming Fall/Winter 2013 Versace ad campaign!  The 39-year-old model is still a name to be reckoned with in the fashion industry. In 2012,  she came in second on the Forbes top-earning models list earning $9.2 million, proving that age really is just a number!

The Ultimate Fall Heel!

The annual Anniversary Sale is in full swing right NOW at Nordstrom stores across the country and online as well ! The sale is held each July and has become legendary among Nordstrom customers nationwide who take advantage of savings on new fall merchandise before the season starts.  I look forward to this sale all year-long and my store visit was a total success. I was able to score on baby gift, a couple of really cute rings and a dress but my favorite score of all was these HOT Sam Edelman ‘Darla’ heels.  They have a pointed toe with a V cutout to show just enough toe cleavage and have a triple ankle strap with two of the three straps featuring studded detail!  I really wanted both colors but with the help of my Facebook  and Instagram followers, I opted for the burgundy & black because I already have far too many black heels and thought a little color wouldn’t hurt, and the rich red color is PERFECT for Fall! The heels are available HERE and will go back up to regular price on August 5.

PFW Stella McCartney F/W 2013!

With her dad watching from the front row, Stella McCartney presented her Fall/Winter 2013 collection today in Paris!  She didn’t stray too far from her sporty chic aesthetic! The collection had somewhat of a tailored menswear feel to it including oversized coats, tailored pieces, plaids and stripes.  I was not feeling the clunky shoes but overall I liked the fun and funky collection!

PFW Balenciaga F/W 2013!

Alexander Wang owned his new creative director role at Balenciaga as he presented his highly anticipated debut collection for the French fashion house today in Paris.  Wang played it somewhat safe as he paid homage to the label by “going back to the archive”( a sign of respect among fashion’s elite). The very wearable collection had some of the usual Wang street vibe to it but was very graceful and chic- So Balenciaga!  Wang incorporated his own special touches of texture and some marble prints into the mostly black and white palette. The highlight for me was the shoes.  I particularly loved the “T” strap and “V” strap heels!

This collection silenced many nay sayers and left the supporters hungry for more, which is exactly what a young designer strives for!  Bravo Mr. Wang! Cheers to a job well done!

LFW Burberry F/W 2013

London Fashion week is in full swing and I must say my favorite collection thus far is Burberry. Christopher Bailey presented his most romantic collection yet….. big on hearts and leopard print, these pieced were as girly as it gets.  Bailey made use of eyelet and studs on tops, skirts and trenches as well as translucent rubber that actually worked while keeping the makeup nude, so the focus was on the fun prints. The palette consisted mostly of camel, crimson, black and white. Great collection.
