Fabulous Friday Finds! ( all under $20)

Happy Friday everyone, I hope you’re all enjoying your afternoon.  This week my finds are ALL from H&M.  Unfortunately, if you live in the states there isn’t  the option to online shop on H&M.com yet! So unless you live across the pond or outside of the U.S. you must truck on down to your local H&M store to find these items.  With that being said, these items are definitely WORTH taking a little trip for. Beyonce The New Face of H&M

Beyonce is the new face of H&M’s Summer campaign.  As if she’s not busy enough, the superstar working mom not only shot the campaign in the Bahamas this past January, but she helped design the collection that accompanies it.  The campaign will consist of print ads and a commercial to air in May and H&M will be donating 25% of the sales of the collection to the charity H&M for water.

Outfit Of The Day!

Hi everyone, here is another OOTD post as promised!

I can’t get enough of this dress-it’s perfect for sunny December days that are slightly chilly (weird CA weather).  The boots are also my go to Fall/Winter flat boot.  I wear them with dresses and pants and they are super comfy and the perfect shade of brown.  Lastly the bag is sooooooo cute, and it gets mistaken for Chanel almost every time I leave the house with it!

Lana Del Rey Face Of Jaguar

Hot off the tail of her H&M Fall ad campaign, Lana Del Rey and Jaguar are  in cahoots.  Not only did the “Born to Die” singer help the automaker launch its new F-Type coupe in Paris, she is also featured in the Jaguar’s newly released commercial introducing the all-new sports car.  The Jaguar F-Type was unveiled earlier this week to a VIP audience at Musée Rodin, Paris. Del Rey also  performed her new track “Burning Desire” at the launch party.

Maison Martin Margiela for H&M (first look)

Sneak peek at the Maison Martin Margiela collaboration with H&M………..MMM is an influential paris-based avant-garde fashion label of belgian origin that serves major fashion, and this collaboration gives fashionistas around the world a chance to wear these coveted pieces.

The September issue of Elle France includes a closer look at an elegantly draped, asymmetrical red dress from the collection.  These are the first pictures of the collection to be revealed since the partnership was announced in June. The rest of the pieces are expected in H&M stores worldwide and online Nov. 15

Model Robyn Lawley Promotes Healthy Body Image

Meet Robyn Lawley, a gorgeous 6’2″ Australian beauty who is taking the modeling world by storm.   Lawley has been featured in countless magazines including Elle and Vogue and made history becoming the first plus sized model to pose for Ralph Lauren.  The 23-year-old was an instant inspiration for girls around the world when she was featured on last years July cover of Vogue Italia with fellow plus sized models Tara Lynn and Candice Huffine.  Lawley was also recently named the new face of UK lingerie brand Boux Avenue.    …..If you’re still looking for the “plus sized” model , the pictures below are correct, like buxom beauties who came before her i.e. Crystal Renn and Marilyn Monroe, Lawley is equivalent to an american size 12 which is quite a common size but considered plus sized in the modeling world. Lawley though doesn’t think of herself as “plus-sized”, she prefers to use the term “normal sized” and is an activist supporting healthy body image, particularly for young girls with low self-­esteem, and also has a food blog called Robyn Lawley Eats.  Bravo to beauty in all forms.

H&M Going Green Again

For the second year in a row, H&M is debuting a conscious collection with traditional pieces as well as some high-end pieces that they are calling the  Glamour conscious collection that features red carpet looks. These conscious collections have all been made from more sustainable materials like organic cotton, hemp and recycled polyester. H&M aims to reduce its carbon footprint with its ongoing effort to make eco-fashion cool. The eco-friendly clothes range from a 60% recycled polyester blouse priced at $9.99 pictured left
to an elaborate limited edition organza crease plisse’ meringue skirt with organic cotton& silk blend boucle top priced at $299 pictured  right,
only 1000 will be produced. Sizes for the traditional conscious collection will include 4-16 and sizes for the glamour conscious collection will include 4-12. These collections will hit select H&M stores ,100 to be exact ,Tomorrow April 12th. Online shopping is still unavailable in the U.S. until September…..fingers crossed.
