This collection was full of silks, feathers, fitted jackets and embroidered pieces. The palette was black, white and grey with shades of red here and there. The show took place in a steamy warehouse on Pier 59, it was like a futuristic fairytale of sorts.

I especially loved this tied top with denim shorts.
Christian Siriano opened up his first store today in New York city’s trendy Nolita area. Located at 252 Elizabeth Street, the 1,000 square foot boutique will stock pieces from Siriano’s runway collections as well as accessories and home decor. Fashionistas can shop now, although the season 4 winner of project runway will have an “official” store launch September 5th, followed by a fashion’s night out celebration the next day. Siriano is steadily climbing the fashion industry ladder!
Christian Dior’s show has been the talk of Paris couture week. New designer Raf Simons’s debut at the fashion house came with speculation. Would he live up to the iconic brand’s name? The spectacular flower filled show took place at a grand residence near the Arc de tromphe. There was an overwhelming support from Simons’s peers. Fellow designers Diane von Furstenberg, Marc Jacobs, Donatella Versace, Alber Elbaz and Christopher Kane among others were in attendance proving that Simons is highly respected among fashions elite. After John Galliano’s sudden and quite scandalous departure from Dior early last year, all eyes were on Simons and today he proved he is ready…..he did not disappoint, he triumphed!
An emotional Donatella Versace took Atelier Versace couture back to the Ritz hotel in Paris today. This was the last place she saw her late brother Gianni. In 1997 Gianni staged his last show at the Ritz just two days before he was murdered on the steps outside of his Miami home. The highly anticipated F/W 2012-2013 collection remained true to the typical Versace aesthetic, silhouettes that celebrate the female form. Billowing chiffon, corseted bodices and metallics were bold, bright & beautiful.

In addition, Roxy’s makeup looks have been down countless runways including YSL, Giorgio Armani, Pucci and Jill Stuart. She has led the makeup for the American Idol concert tour and worked on Madonna’s “sweet & sticky” tour as well. Most recently Roxy attributed her skills to the coveted People’s 50 most beautiful 2012 issue.
Roxy’s makeup journey started in Paris where she studied at the prestigious artistic academy, Christian Chauveau.
The globe trotting beauty has called Paris, Hawaii, Los Angeles and New York home, currently splitting her time between New York and L.A. It is evident that this jet-setting lifestyle has only helped her become a more well rounded artist, she has the ambition of an Angelino, the fashion sense of a New yorker, the cultural influences of France and the easy breezy down to earth vibe of Hawaii. She has seen and mastered makeup trends in all forms across the globe. She loves her career and is passionate about it. Roxy is a busy bee and enjoys doing jiu-jitsu, surfing and yoga in her spare time. I got the chance to talk to the always in demand artist recently and asked her my favorite question…”What is your one MUST have, can’t live without product?” she quickly answered “mascara, It wakes up your face”. I would have to agree with her as I am a mascara lover myself.

Today is the day!!! The unveil of Vera Wang’s Spring 2013 Bridal Collection. Aahh the suspense……Are you on the edge of your seat?
Vera did not show one white dress today. Last season nudes and blacks dominated her show ,but today Vera went BOLD really bold and went straight for our hearts with RED , all shades of the beautiful color . Times are changing, brides wear color and Vera is ready to provide it. As much as she sticks to traditional aesthetics of bridal gowns, I admire her willingness to try anything. She definitely brings the WOW factor and is always ahead of the curve. I LOVE IT!
