The time has come——- the highly anticipated Alexander Wang H&M capsule collection lookbook is here!!!! I personally was expecting more wearable clothes from this collection- I was a bit disappointed at first, HOWEVER when I shifted my mindset and thought of it as an active lifestyle collection- it seemed much better to me at that point! The collection is super sporty and is very reminiscent of the 90’s Armani Exchange vibe with heavily branded pieces that can be worn in or out of the gym. I am SO SAD that there is no reimagined Rocco bag BUT there are a pair of reimagined Freja boots (widely sold-out) that are priced at $199 compared to the original Freja boots that were $675. They are strikingly similar, which is exciting for all of the boot lovers that never got ahold of any. I personally will not wake up early for this collection- I may buy a sweatshirt or a tank online for fun- we shall see. Will you? What are your thoughts on this collection?
Original Freja boot $675 H&M version $199
The collection includes pieces for men and women and includes everything from dresses to sweatshirts to backpacks to boxing gloves to yoga mats. If you live an active lifestyle, you are covered! Prices range from $13 for a water bottle to $350 for a leather jacket. Collection hits online and in stores November 6.
Rihanna got her hands on the collection a bit early
Fall weather is here- well not so much in Los Angeles- but for fashion’s sake let’s play pretend. Who doesn’t love Fall fashion? Boots, coats, scarves and BADASS heels!!!! During the cooler months when we are all bundled up, it’s the perfect time to step up your heel game. Often times your heels and bag are the main focus of your look during these months.
Below are some of my favorite Fall heels.
Leopard high ankle strap heels. Leopard heels pair with anything–try it!
Laced up heels. Sexy caged heels can spice up your dress and jeans.
Two tone heels. Two tone shoes are perfect if leopard is too much for you.
Ankle strap black & cobalt heels.
Burgundy pumps. Burgundy-‘Nuff said!
How cute is this heart trench coat???!!!! It is so perfect for Fall. I HEART IT so much!
Heart trench coat available HERE and it’s on SALE for less than $50!!!!
Wowzers I must say that Milan has had my favorite collections thus far – beating out New York Fashion Week and London Fashion Week. How will Paris fare? Well, let’s get right to it shall we…… my favorite SS15 collections from Milan fashion week.
Minimally Chic at Bottega Veneta.
Floral notes and minis at Emilio Pucci.
Uptown 70’s Chic with ridiculously amazing tailoring(as usual) at Gucci.
Pretty prints and halter necklines at Just Cavalli.
Bohoemian Chic at Etro.
Week two of the month-long fashion frenzy around the globe is wrapping up and I have some favorites to share.
I was asked to explain fashion week by quite a few people, so here it goes…….Fashion “month” occurs twice a year and is a showcase of designers Spring/Summer collections and Fall/Winter collections. These collections are shown in advance giving buyers time to fill orders and stock up just in time for the season. For example, right now it’s Fall and the designers are showing their upcoming Spring/Summer collection, and during Spring, designers showcase their fall/winter collections. Notice I said fashion MONTH earlier- that is because fashion week takes place over four consecutive weeks in four different countries, totaling a month of FUN! Is there an order? YES fashion week starts in New york, then jumps across the pond to London, followed by Milan and ending in Paris! There you have it fashion week/month summed up.
There are also other smaller scale fashion weeks across the globe, but the four countries listed are the main players in the fashion game!
Let’s get to my London fashion week faves!
Colorful catwalks and plenty of prints at Burberry and House of Holland. Glittery Glam rock at Tom Ford.
Sporty 60’s with a nautical twist at Topshop.
