Flower Fields Fun!

As a southern California native, I’ve always heard about the Carlsbad flower fields. They bloom every Spring and thousands of people visit to experience the magical rows of ranunculus(My favorite flower) as well as other flowers. I finally made my way down to the San Diego area and visited the flower fields and was not disappointed. There were flowers as far as I could see, it was so beautiful. If you get a chance, the flower fields make the perfect Springtime day trip. Let me know in the comments if you’re planning to visit.

*There are plenty of picture opportunities that they provide, so there is no need to ever step/lay on any flowers.

Pretty Pink Pout!

Every Spring I get so excited to wear pretty pink lipsticks. I wear pink lip color year round, but during the warmer months I go with lighter, more rose toned pinks. I have 2 new favorites to share with you that I’ve been wearing non stop.

The first color is a light dusty rose powder matte by Maybelline called ‘Nocturnal Rose’. Although it’s matte, it’s not the typical drying formula.  This is the color that I’m wearing in my latest Instagram post.  $8 Shop HERE.

The second color is medium warm pink by Bobbi Brown called ‘Bitten’.  It has the look of lipstick, but the feel of a lip balm. $29 Shop HERE.

Outfit Under $70!

Hey guys, I’m here to share a quick outfit that I recently purchased at Target for under $70!!!!  This gorgeous $35 flowy polka dot dress is by my favorite Target line ‘Who What wear’. The wrap up block heels are by Mossimo and were $32. The block heels are also an exact dupe for a Steve Madden pair that retail for $110! Tinted Sunscreen For Sensitive Skin.

For those of you that have been following my blog for a while, you know that I’m an SPF addict! I wear hats and SPF daily to avoid any sun exposure to my face. I am very sensitive when it comes to sunscreens and break out very easily when I try new brands. My friend Jacki talked me into trying Elta MD and I am obsessed!!! First of all, it’s tinted so I love that(they have non tinted as well) and secondly, it’s made for skin types prone to acne, rosacea and hyperpigmentation. I have acne prone skin and hyperpigmentation (dark patches) so I was all for it! Hyperpigmentation can be kept under control when the sun is avoided. This particular sunscreen is made with Zinc oxide which sits on top of the skin, so the sun can’t penetrate at all and since I’ve been using this SPF my dark patches have lightened. With summer approaching I thought I’d share this amazing Sunscreen with you all.  elta

It is more expensive than traditional non zinc sunscreen, but it actually works! I wear it alone and under my makeup. I also prefer a high SPF so I wear 46, but they have lower SPFs as well.

Spring Nail Color!

Spring has sprung and I’m sharing my favorite bright and cheery nail color with you guys. The color is Lounge lover by Essie and is a pretty peachy/coral hue.essie1 It’s not overly bright in a tacky way, it’s actually very feminine and pretty.
