Marc Jacobs + Sephora = upcoming makeup Line = :)

Following in the footsteps of Mr. Tom Ford, fashion designer extraordinaire  and Louis Vuitton creative Director Marc Jacobs has his eyes set on something new, a color cosmetics line aka MAKEUP! OMG is it true? Yes it’s true ! Jacobs and cosmetic giant Sephora had a meeting last week to discuss the collection. A launch date hasn’t been decided and there are few details as of yet but I will let you know as soon as my “little birdie” gets back to me;)  This is very exciting news for the beauty world!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

In other Marc Jacobs news: Jacobs is set to launch a new scent, Dot complete with lady bug bottle. Available this August.  This new scent has a vanilla and creamy musk base, with notes of red berries, honeysuckle, jasmine ,orange blossom and coconut water. mmmmmmm smells like vacation to me!

The Shops at Target

Target has done it again! They have  teamed up with five ultra chic specialty boutiques from around the country to co create and bring products to a Target store near you. Target will feature a group of boutiques and have their products in select Target stores for six week runs (or until sold out) beginning May 6th. Think of it as a lending of retail space, a store in a store of sorts. Sounds like another target HIT and a golden ticket for these shop owners. I first caught wind of this news in January when I realized the shops would include The Webster, as in the Webster Miami, One of the best boutique stores in the country offering high end  fashion and accessories for men and women. The first group of featured shops are

  1. San Fransisco’s The Candy store
  2. Aspen Colorado’s The COS Bar
  3. Boston’s Polka Dog Bakery
  4. Connecticut’s The Privet House

These shops offer everything from lollipops and dog biscuits to luxury clothes, cosmetics and home furnishings. With Prices will ranging from $1-$160, everyone will be able to get a taste of luxury. Okay go mark your calendar now:)

Cute Dress! (under $15)

How cute is this dress for Spring/Summer?! I had this as one of my picks for my upcoming Fabulous Friday Finds, but I could NOT wait 4 more days to show you this! I’m still a bit mint obsessed  and we all know mint looks great on all skin tones. New to mint? now is the time to try it, the price point couldn’t get better. Go ahead….you know you wanna:)  Kudos to the stylist on this shoot for choosing the brown accessories, Slam dunk on the color wheel!  So complimentary with the mint & white:)  All I would add is a stack of bangles and a wrap watch, but that’s just me. Rockin’ Neon in Real Life (oopsy I forgot to mention)

How could I forget to mention this easy to wear neon tip.  It’s great for the ‘new to neon’ lovers and is a great way to wear neon and tone it down at the same time. I promise neon is wearable in real life. Urban Decay Revamps Eyeshadow

Everybody in the makeup industry is buzzing about Urban Decay’s complete revamping of the single eyeshadows. Urban Decay was the first “cool” eyeshadow I’d ever bought, not the same old colors that every other makeup brand offered. If you’re an Urban Decay shadow lover, then you’re gonna REALLY love this news!  Everything has changed, for the better. The actual eyeshadow formula, shade selection and packaging are different. The packaging is still a creative and cool subway token lookalike, but just a bit more modern. The color selection includes many of the previous shades that we all loved, best sellers, and favorites previously only available in select palettes for a total of 68 shades. As far as the formula, they have a super soft suede like velvety texture and even more blendable high pigmented distribution than the shadows I thought were already awesome! The color payoff is ridiculous, you don’t have to pack it on the lid with these dense pigments and the fallout is way less as well(no raccoon eyes)Sound like a dream come true?  Well it gets even better…… The newly designed cases allow for the shadow pots to be “popped” in and out. Why you ask? There is a new build your own palette YES you can select six different colors and mix and match them exactly how you want and  can change the palette as often as you wish. If your going on a tropical vacation you can take all your neutrals and grieges  along and if your headed to Vegas for the weekend you can bring your fun “party” colors. The palette comes with a travel size eyeshadow brush and one shadow to start you off called walk of shame (a peachy-pink matte shade perfect for base, highlighting or wearing alone) and comes in a sturdy mirrored case that’s fits easily into a purse. L.K. Bennett expanding in U.S.

L.K. Bennett opened a store in NYC  this week. It’s kind of a big deal.  The first ever U.S. store opened on Chicago’s Madison Avenue last Spring and they’ve been popping up ever since, so far  there are  five other shops around the country but this NYC debut is really going to turn the fashion house into a household name. Until last year many Americans never even heard of L.K. Bennett , but that’s changing fast!  Founded in London in 1990, L.K. Bennett is a luxury women’s fashion brand offering ready to wear, handbags, and accessories but is renowned for its signature sexy yet sophisticated shoe collections and has been an insider  favorite of the British Royals for years. Kate Middleton shot the brand to stardom when she wore their wedges the day after her wedding and has been photographed hundreds of times in the nude “sledge”pump she made famous.  The S/S 2012 collection is my favorite so far, Below are some images of my favorite styles. Prices range from $150-$600 available at select Bloomingdale’s, Nordstrom and L.K.
