Latest H&M Designer Collab!!!!!

Exciting news on the fashion front!!!!!! H&M has announced an upcoming collaboration with Isabel Marant. The French designer, known for her rocker meets bohemian chic aesthetic is the latest high-end designer to work with H&M on a capsule collection! Marant’s collection will include womenswear and (for the first time in her career) menswear.  The collection is set to launch online and in select H&M stores worldwide November 14. If you know and love Isabel Marant, I know you’re shaking in your boots about this collab!  If the name sounds familiar- you have seen her creations and knockoffs of her creations EVERYWHERE!  Does the hidden wedge trainer or studded Milwaukee bootie ring a bell?  The always innovative designer will be sure to fulfill your fashion fix at prices within your grasp! I discovered Giles and Brother about 5 years ago and have been wearing their unique pieces since then. The jewelry company was founded in 2001 by jewelry designer Philip Crangi and his sister Courtney aka “Giles”.  Throughout each season the sibling’s NYC based jewelry label has had a continuous industrial chic aesthetic.Giles and brother1  I can’t get enough of their edgy meets sleek pieces and am so excited that their Spring 2013 collection features some of my old favorites in ROSE GOLD!!!!!!!!!!  These pieces below can blend in with your current jewelry seamlessly or can be worn alone!

Derek Lam For Kohl’s

If it’s been too long since the Prabal/Target designer collab and you’re looking for affordable designer duds, don’t you fret… there is collab right around the corner.  On April 5, the Derek Lam for Kohl’s will be available online and in stores.  This is the second  in a series of collaborations for Kohl’s called DesignNation- where each featured designer presents a collection inspired by their travels.  Lam took  inspiration for this collection from the jungles and sandy beaches of Rio De Janeiro which comes across in the fun prints and easy breezy vibe of the pieces. The wallet friendly collection is priced at $36-$88 and includes dresses, skirts and even swimwear- a first for the designer.  Below are some of my favorites. Shop the collection HERE.

Zoya Launches Pixie Dust Summer 2013 Collection!

Zoya- the nail polish brand known for their unique colors and textures has launched their Pixie Dust Summer 2013 collection which includes six brand new colors to the already popular lineup.  Zoya Summer Pixie Dust polishes are quite unique… they have plenty of sparkle while having a sugary matte finish. The collection is available now for preorder at Zoya. The full-sized bottles retail for $9 or you can get the entire collection in sampler sizes for $54 per set.

Beyonce The New Face of H&M

Beyonce is the new face of H&M’s Summer campaign.  As if she’s not busy enough, the superstar working mom not only shot the campaign in the Bahamas this past January, but she helped design the collection that accompanies it.  The campaign will consist of print ads and a commercial to air in May and H&M will be donating 25% of the sales of the collection to the charity H&M for water.

PFW Stella McCartney F/W 2013!

With her dad watching from the front row, Stella McCartney presented her Fall/Winter 2013 collection today in Paris!  She didn’t stray too far from her sporty chic aesthetic! The collection had somewhat of a tailored menswear feel to it including oversized coats, tailored pieces, plaids and stripes.  I was not feeling the clunky shoes but overall I liked the fun and funky collection!

PFW Balenciaga F/W 2013!

Alexander Wang owned his new creative director role at Balenciaga as he presented his highly anticipated debut collection for the French fashion house today in Paris.  Wang played it somewhat safe as he paid homage to the label by “going back to the archive”( a sign of respect among fashion’s elite). The very wearable collection had some of the usual Wang street vibe to it but was very graceful and chic- So Balenciaga!  Wang incorporated his own special touches of texture and some marble prints into the mostly black and white palette. The highlight for me was the shoes.  I particularly loved the “T” strap and “V” strap heels!

This collection silenced many nay sayers and left the supporters hungry for more, which is exactly what a young designer strives for!  Bravo Mr. Wang! Cheers to a job well done!

NYFW Rachel Zoe F/W 2013

Rachel zoe’s Fall/Winter collection consisted of her usual 70’s inspired boho chic pieces but this time she added an equestrian twist. The mostly neutral palette included black, grey, navy and brown and  the clothes were more tailored than Zoe’s previous collections. I’m never disappointed with Mrs. Zoe’s work!
