Alexander Wang X H&M!!!
17 OctThe time has come——- the highly anticipated Alexander Wang H&M capsule collection lookbook is here!!!! I personally was expecting more wearable clothes from this collection- I was a bit disappointed at first, HOWEVER when I shifted my mindset and thought of it as an active lifestyle collection- it seemed much better to me at that point! The collection is super sporty and is very reminiscent of the 90’s Armani Exchange vibe with heavily branded pieces that can be worn in or out of the gym. I am SO SAD that there is no reimagined Rocco bag BUT there are a pair of reimagined Freja boots (widely sold-out) that are priced at $199 compared to the original Freja boots that were $675. They are strikingly similar, which is exciting for all of the boot lovers that never got ahold of any. I personally will not wake up early for this collection- I may buy a sweatshirt or a tank online for fun- we shall see. Will you? What are your thoughts on this collection?

7 JanHow cute are these flats??!!!!! I saw them on Lulus.com and had to have them! They were only $23 which made it even sweeter, but as I clicked to buy them- SOLD OUT appeared on my computer screen. Noooooooooo! I was so sad. I quickly noted the brand and style name and began my hunt. I found them at Shiekh for even less- $19.99. Never give up ladies! Never give up!

Limsanity!!!! My Phillip Lim for Target Adventure!
15 SepToday the highly anticipated Phillip Lim for Target collaboration launched!! Target stores in my area opened at 8 am and they all had lines. I got my magazine, chair and bottled water and headed to my local Target, I arrived at 6:45am and I was the FIRST in line!!! Wooohhoooooo! Needless to say, I was able to get both of the bags that I wanted! Everything was going smooth until the bags ran out, the workers came with more on carts and that’s when the stampede started, people were pushing and shoving their way to the cart before they could even restock the shelf! After that, the bags were gone – only five minutes had passed! By the time I left there was still a good amount of clothes left and I hope everyone got what they wanted! As a shoe and bag LOVER, I will go on record and say this is my favorite collab since Jimmy Choo for H&M! Until the next collaboration!!!!

FNO is an unprecedented global initiative that was created in 2009 to celebrate fashion, restore consumer confidence, boost the industry’s economy during the recession, and put the fun back in shopping! In the United States, the program is a collaboration between American Vogue, the Council of Fashion Designers of America, NYC & Company, and the City of New York. With special limited-edition products, Sales, celebrity appearances, and unforgettable performances this FNO is going to be the best one yet! Last years bash featured events in 18 countries with more than 4,500 events in the U.S. alone. Some of the largest events will be taking place in NYC and LA. NYC will be also kicking off New York Fashion Week on the 6th as well…..so if you’re in the New york area, take full advantage. I will be celebrating in the Los Angeles/ Beverly Hills area for my 4th year now. Last year I stopped by Marc Jacobs, Vera Wang and Alexander McQueen on Melrose in LA, then was off to Beverly Hills where the streets were literally shut down( complete with food trucks and a ferris wheel) and stopped by Saks, Valentino, Louis Vuitton and Chanel. I had the best time and am very excited to do it all over again! Where will you be on September 6th?

Lauren Conrad Launches Eco-Friendly Accessories Line

Lauren Conrad has teamed up with Austin company Blue Avocado to create an affordable eco-friendly accessories line of sustainable lifestyle products. The almost 20 piece collection called xo(eco) includes cute lunch totes, cosmetic bags, jewelry rolls and shopping carryalls. All pieces in the collection are made using Repreve, a fiber product made from recycled materials including water bottles and come complete with an impact label showing exactly how many recycled bottles went into making each item. xo(eco) is available exclusively at Amazon $9.99- $69.99 and a percentage of the profits will be donated to various organizations focusing on ocean clean up and recovery efforts. With two clothing lines, two websites, a book franchise and now this eco-friendly venture, the reality star turned fashionista is leaving a footprint of her own in the fashion industry!

Clueless 17th Anniversary!!!
19 JulWith a release date of July 19th 1995, today marks the 17th anniversary of Clueless! At the time it was my FAVORITE movie! I can’t even count how many phrases, songs and fashion habits I got from that film….. I instantly became obsessed with Fred Segal , learned to love and include color in my wardrobe, started taking my shoes very seriously and kept polaroids of items in my closet to help keep organized(it really works). WOW I have so many things to be thankful for all because of a silly teen movie! I think I’ll add it to my Netflix queue just for kicks!
